I paddle every day. I have rash guards from several top brands and this is my favorite. It is very comfortable to wear. The material breathes well. Never sticky or clammy. Now that I know about this product I won't buy anything else. I hope they don't change it.

I bought this for my 79 year-old Dad going on a rafting trip and he raved about it, kept him covered from too much sun exposure but also comfortable and moved well. He also tells me he plans to wear it playing tennis and doing other sports activities as it is so comfortable.

Comments about NRS Men's H2Core Silkweight Long-Sleeve Shirt:

I'm 6'5", 200lbs, 16.5" neck, 36" sleeve, athletic cut (shoulders and chest > waist). Based on the size chart I ordered XL (short and long sleeves). LOOOOVE the fabric and green and blue colors, but the fit is better for someone with a little neck and shoulders and a bigger belly.

Also, "feels true to size" is NOT a helpful option because no two garments are EVER the same, even from the same manufacturer. And no two people, even when the same height and weight, are shaped the same. It's WAY more helpful if reviewers list their size and shape in some detail, and then specify how the given product fits them.

NRS, "Feels true to size" is worthless, so why do you ask that? PLEASE, if you and other vendors could start encouraging this in reviews, you'd cut way down on returns (e.g. I'm sending back another 4 garments today) and I'm hesitant to try others since I'm not confident on how they might fit. I've been an NRS customer for more than 20 years and LOVE your liberal return policy, but constantly returning things is exasperating to customers and costs you $$. Let's fix it! :-)

Great fabric and color scheme. However if you are tall like me (6'3") you will find the long sleeves a little short. It would be nice if NRS offered Large Tall or XL Tall sizes.

                Q:

What size should I order? I'm 6' 3", 210 pounds 43 chest, 35 waist but I have a 37 inch sleeve length. I'm concerned the XXL will be too large in the body, and the XL will not be long enough in the arms. Your sizing guide doesn't address sleeve length. Any help?

                  A:

Scott, with your arm length the sleeves will be a bit short. XL length is 31" and the XXL is 32". Your measurements fall right in the XL size. The XXL will fit loose on you.

Eric wore it yesterday on a river trip, and it was about 80 degrees, and he thought it was very comfortable. He's planning to take it on a Grand Canyon trip in a week, and we're hoping it will be fairly comfortable but keep the sun off. So can't say for sure, but it looks promising.

My wife and I each have this shirt, and the slightly older, slightly heavier one. We use them in Hawaii for snorkeling, to provide a bit of warmth. Without it, we get chilled after 15 minutes or so in the water. With the shirt we are comfortable indefinitely. We also wear them while canoeing (we are members of an outrigger canoe club on Maui) for early morning paddle trips. My wife wears hers on the beach to provide sun protection. We are quite happy with the look, feel and performance. Maui temperatures are usually 82 to 86. We have not been to the Florida beaches, so we do not have experience there, or at 90 to 95. But if you are after some sun protection, or a bit of warmth in the water, I would recommend it.

As a native Floridian I can safely say that if it is 95 degrees you will be hot no matter what you wear. With that said I wear this shirt kayaking in the low 80's and find it comfortable. Usually the prevailing wind keeps the beaches several degrees cooler than inland temperatures so they are usually cooler than mid 90's

                  Hey Alphonse,
I live in central Florida. I wear this type of shirt during the summer on
the river. The long sleeves keep the sun off so that helps me keep
cool. Moisture like water or sweat evaporates off the shirt quickly so
                  that helps also.

At 90 - 95 degrees, anything is hot. However, the shirt is thin, light weight, and far better and cooler than cotton. I use on river trips in the southwest, and it protects me from the sun while the material breathes and keeps me cool.

At 90-95F anything will be warm, especially if it is humid. The nice thing about this shirt though is thst is is loose fitting and does a superb job of wicking moisture. I just used it again today and didn't even think about the air temperature. I would absolutely recommend this product for warm weather activity.
