NRS H2Core Apparel (2:08)

NRS H2Core apparel is the first and only layering system designed specifically for paddlers. Perfectly placed seams create friction-free zones where other clothing rubs paddlers wrong. Advanced fabrics wick moisture, dry quickly and protect you from harmful UV rays. Unlike general-purpose outdoor apparel, H2Core's features enhance, not detract from, your time on the water.

Comments about NRS Women's H2Core Expedition Weight Pants:

Fit well under semi-dry pants - the cuffs are perfect to use with gaskets. They keep me warm, but not overly so. The cut and style is great - no restriction of movement. I really like the thinner fabric behind the knees. Prevents bunching. Much more comfortable.
There was a small flaw on one seam. Easily fixable, and has caused no problems with wear. I was surprised - not my usual prior experience with NRS. However, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this item again. I like them very much!

    Service and delivery comments:

This order was shipped promptly, and was delivered very quickly! The H2Core pants appeared undamaged from shipping, but there was a small unstitched seam. This was reported, and I received a reply the next day. Good to know that customer comments are reviewed and handled promptly. Thanks.

Got these to wear under my drysuit. They were warm, comfortable and most importantly, they breathe. While I stayed quite warm, I never was wet and sweaty inside my suit.

              Q:

I'm looking for pants for swimming in Southern California water 60-70 degrees.
Will these work for swimming pants?

                A:

These pants keep you fairly warm, but lose some of the warmth when they get
wet. They aren't really the best for being completely submerged in water.
They are fleece lined and get wet all the way through when submerged. So,
no they probably would not work well for swimming.

                A:

H2Core Expedition is woven polyester material, with excellent loft, so worn under waterproof outer garments it wicks moisture from the body and traps body heat efficiently. But, if you swim in it water will surge through it, pulling warmth from your body. For swimming, take a look at HydroSkin, a lightweight wetsuit material - http://www.nrs.com/category/2617/women/hydroskin - There are pants, capris and shorts. Many people swim and do water aerobics in the 0.5 mm thick garments. When sizing it for swimming, be sure to get it snug fitting, as it'll stretch a bit in water as you exercise.

I don't wear these for swimming, so I don't know how well they would
work. I would recommend the NRS Hydroskin neoprene pants. I wear them to
the pool for kayak practice sessions, and they do well, don't hold a lot of
water, and are quite comfortable .
                Hope this helps.

No, these are not neoprene but rather a base layer for underneath a dry
suit. Check out the hydroskin for a thin neoprene pant suitable for
swimming. If you need something warmer, consider a shorty wetsuit

These pants work great. I work as a kayak guide and have used mine many
times for kayaking and SUP. They will keep you warm when wet and are
comfortable for swimming in. They also dry quickly. I definitely recommend
                them!
