Catarafts make great fishing platforms. The NRS Cataraft Anchor System lets the rower easily drop and raise anchor right from the rower's seat. This item is for frames with the older cast aluminum LoPro Frame Fittings.
  • Important Note when ordering: In 2014 we've changed the design of the LoPro Frame Fitting. Which Anchor System you need depends on whether you have the older or newer design.
  • The older cast aluminum LoPro Frame Fittings have "NRS" molded into the top of the LoPro. The newer hot-forged aluminum LoPros, have "NRS Forged" stamped into the top.
  • If you have older cast LoPros, this is the system you should order. If you have the newer forged LoPros, order Item # 93080.02.
  • The Anchor Control System with the Rope Jamb Cleat is conveniently located near the rower for easy anchoring.
  • The Anchor Mast can be located anywhere along the yoke.
  • The anchor and anchor rope are not included.
  • We recommend 3/8" polypropylene rope, Item # 45012.01.
Components:
  • 1 - Anchor Control System with Rope Jam Cleat
  • 1 - Intermediate Pulley
  • 1 - Anchor Mast
  • 1 - Oversized U-bolt with nuts and washers
  • 1 - 2.5" bolt with nuts and washers
Includes:
  • System assembly instructions

If NRS does not let you buy the pull assembly by itself (which I would be very surprised if they did not let you buy it separately), email me and I'll let you know what I did for my cataraft. I ended up going with a different system as my frame has larger diameter aluminum tubing so I could not get this to work. ****@***.***

What's the difference between the cataraft anchor system vs. the raft anchor system? The specs seem to be exactly the same...

Make sure you have a yoke style frame for this system. Notice the two bars that the anchor mast needs to mount. If you have a universal frame with only one bar use the stern mount mast for your anchor system.

The raft anchor system requires an additional section to be added to the frame that extends the rear pulley and anchor out over the back of the raft. If you have a back seat already on your frame then you are set but I don't think you can adapt a cat system to a raft frame

On each of these products, take a look at the "Larger Images & More Views" link. There you get a better look at all the parts. The main difference in the two is the rear mast where the anchor line leaves the boat and joins the anchor.

      Will,
There is not a lot of difference until you get to the back bracket which
mounts differently than the raft version. The cataraft rear pulley is
attached to your frame with one u-bolt and then leverage against the bottom
      rail of your cat frame.
I put mine on my fat cat frame last summer and really have enjoyed it
      especially from a fishing standpoint.
I hope that helps, if not drop me a email and I will try and answer your
      question.
      Thanks

Comments about NRS Cataraft Frame Anchor System:

    The anchor system works gr8!
A floor mounted system would be cool.
It would be nice to be able to use some leg leverage when lifting a forty pounder.
Also a option for lefties would be all right.
That last sentence is kinda funny.
Thanks for selling awesome frames n stuff! Brian
