    Q:

    Dearest NRS,

I would like to order a 30' NRS cam strap with a buckle. I would like to order a strap which could wrap around my 14' raft... around the thwart and bottom of the boat.

Is it possible to order a strap which would be long enough to do this with the buckle end also attached?

    Could it be yellow?

Thank you for your time... I look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely,
    Mandela van Eeden

I bought 2 20' straps, and 2 buckles, and sewed them on myself. Of course,
I learned to work a sail needle, palm, and sail twine during 36 yrs. at
sea. But, I believe that's the cheapest way to go....Straps hold fine, up
to 2000 lbs, I believe. I know one of them recently held a new keg of
Yuengling securely, in the back of my 'yota tacoma!

Mandela, we do not make custom straps, but it's easy to order the webbing and buckles to make your own custom straps. If you're unable to sew it yourself, any upholstery shop can sew it for you. The 1.5" webbing only comes in blue. We do have yellow webbing in the 1" width. The webbing and buckles are found here - http://www.nrs.com/category/2882/rafting/straps

It is about 1.5mm and fits perfectly in the cams sold by NRS. If I recall correctly, it has 2000 lb rating.

NRS 1.5" Heavy-Duty Webbing is 1/20" (1.2mm) thick, and very rugged.

The straps are a a little less than 1/8", I'd guess about 3/16"' and definitely strong enough for most purposes, I use them to add another seat to my canoe when needed, I'm over 250 lbs,

I don't know how to answer, 1/16th maybe?. It is a tightly woven single
layer webbing. It is quite durable, as I use it for river stuff and
strapping down a motorcycle or anything else on my trailer. Or in my
truck. I once used the 1.5 webbing to secure the motor on my land rover
when the motor mount broke. It held the motor in check while I continued
      to "wheel" in Moab, UT.

It will easily fit through the 1.5-inch cam buckles sold by NRS. It's tough webbing that I use to strap my cat down to the trailer.

Comments about NRS 1.5" Heavy-Duty Webbing:

Built my own boat gear bag. This allowed me to custom make my own straps any length I wanted. Buy good upholstery thread and sew a square and an X through the middle. Was surprised my lightweight sewing machine had not issue sewing it. Cut the ends on a 45 and melt them (best with an old iron)
