Comments about NRS 1" Colored Webbing:

Used this strapping material to replace UV-wasted straps on 10-year old bimini side curtains on the sailboat. They are well-made straps and should last the lifetime of the side curtains.

Legendary NRS Straps! I use the webbing to make my dog leashes out of. Use the webbing for the lead and by a cheap caribener for the collar connection and Viola! you have an awesome dog leash at 1/4 of the price.

                        Q:

If this is the "same materials used in the hd straps" why are these straps rated at 1,100# and the HD straps are rated at 1500#? I like the 1500# HD straps very much. If they are the same material but not load rating this should be specified. I would like to see nrs offer other colors by the foot of the HD strap material.

                          A:

The material both lines of straps are made of is polypropylene. The HD Straps are made with a high-tenacity woven blend that is stronger than the Colored Webbing. At 1100 lb strength, straps made with that webbing are very burly.

Black strap option. Can you make a nine ft length black strap with 1" buckle threaded? Or do i need to buy the black strap length and buckle separete and make my own?

We can't make small orders of these as custom straps. Please purchase the webbing and buckle separately. If you don't sew you can get it done at at an upholstery shop.

When you're looking at the product photo, the second one from the right is the "black w/tic" - black with yellow center. Where the "tic" came from, I don't know, probably from the manufacturer. Back in the day there was a time, before today's blue w/ length markings, when all the straps were made with this. I've still got a bunch of them in my strap bag, from way before I started working here!

The webbing is sold by the foot, so you can order any length. If you need the webbing to be in one continuous length, be sure to specify that when you order.
