I needed a pump end/tip to inflate my older 'water skeeter' fishing pontoon, as my original one was lost in a move. After searching the original dealer's site, I began a general web search. There was a reference in an outdoor discussion group to the NRS site and this end. NRS was the only source for this particular end that I could find.

The inflator tip works as good as the original. It is made of very solid plastic. Barring any MAJOR drops or crushing blows, it should last the life of the air bladders.

My only 'issue' is with the NRS site. There was no dimensions or description of the tip. I had to buy by the image alone. Only the return policy gave me confidence to complete the sale, otherwise I would have waited.

This fill adapter and separately purchased clear tubing was exactly what I needed for an older boat. I couldn't find one through anywhere else, as a bonus I also was able to buy a cap for the same type of valve. I figured a jar lid and tape would have to be the repair of choice. Great service, I am ecstatic about the service and products I ordered. I will be a return customer for life!

I have an older skeeter pontoon, not sure if the valve is exactly the same as yours. I had to take a knife to this adapter to make it work as the gap to twist the adapter into the valve wasn't wide enough.
Alternatively, after searching all over and not finding an exact match and talking to others, I figured out that I could use a short piece of hose jammed into the pump hose and then into the bladder valve to fill the bladders. It's just a one way valve that fills with air pressure. You may have to hold the hose in place (or have someone else) if the fit isn't tight enough. The hooks on the adapter are just to hold it in place.

                  Ray,
I have a Water Skeeter (9 ft can't remember the model) and have ordered the
Summit 1 from NRS for my boat. I've also ordered the Sumit 1 valve cover
and Summit valve wrench. All work like original gear when the boat was
                  new.
Good luck and have fun on the water!

After breaking my adapter and finding WaterSkeeter will not return calls, found NRS. Study their explanations in detail. Only the exact one will work! I don't think it was Summit. I finally gave up and went with a K-Pump and never looked back. Bite the bullet you won't regret it.

Ray, first let's identify what valve you have on your boat. Open this page for links to identifying all the valves we carry - http://www.nrs.com/repair/valves.asp?tn=70 - Hopefully your valve is one of these. And remember, all the adapter does is hold the pump securely to the valve opening. If you can't find a correct adapter you can still inflate the tubes.

Al, this adapter is designed to lock into a Summit 1 valve, so wouldn't be proper for a Boston. The Boston valve is a generic type that's made by a number of manufacturers, in different sizes. I suspect the "18" on yours is the manufacturers mold number. The K-Pump Universal Adapter, Item # 80080.01, might work. Or, check your hardware store to see if a chunk of vinyl hose that will fit in the valve opening, and mate up with your pump can work.

Lester, Boardworks doesn't identify the specifics about the valve they have in their boards. There are lots of versions of some of the valves out there. I watched a video they have on their site and the valve looks similar to either one of the Summits or Halkey-Roberts New Short. Use our valve ID pages to see if you can drill down to an adapter that will work for you.

Ask the manufacturer what kind of valves it has, then go to nrsweb.com and search on that valve name.
The photo you sent looks like the adapter for the valve called "Summit 1" a..k.a. "Tributary 1", which Is NOT interchangeable with "Summit 2" a.k.a. "Tributary 2"

Looks like the older style which works if an older boat. Mine was a 2005. If you can't find a adapter and don't have a power blower get a K-pump. you will never look back. It's the only one that can deliver the pressure.
