1 mm HydroSkin® 1.0 provides twice the insulation of HydroSkin 0.5, without feeling bulky or restrictive. With four-way-stretch comfort and our soft ThermalPlush lining, it feels as good as it looks.
  • 1.0 mm Terraprene™ neoprene with heat-reflecting titanium protects you from chilly water and weather.
  • Four-way-stretch material lets you move freely, while the soft ThermalPlush™ lining adds warmth, dries quickly and feels great against your skin.
  • Paddler-specific design puts seams where they won't cause irritation.
  • The chest, back, shoulders and upper arms feature water-shedding smooth-skin neoprene to help prevent evaporative cooling.
  • HydroSkin is lightweight wetsuit apparel; it's designed for a snug form fit that restricts water entry and locks in your body's warmth.
  • Thinner HydroSkin 0.5 panels under the arms reduce bunching for greater paddling comfort.

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin 1.0 Shirt:

Using this for winter pool kayaking and as a vapor barrier liner. The armpits are not neoprene as far as I can tell. They seem to exchange cold water when arms are raised and don't control water vapor at all. The surface of the neoprene is very grabby and does not don, doff, or allow a skirt with a snug fit to be worn eve with expected difficulty.

Guess this will be fine for paddling a surfboard in hi.

Really wanted to like this but sent it back

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin 1.0 Shirt:

Sent this product back. After two days the top layer neoprene started to separate from the stitching on the sleeve. The neoprene on an area on the lower torso also began to rip and separate from the base fabric. Probably a bad run or one-off issue but what really got me was how sticky he outer fabric is. Trying to get a dry top over it or get the Hydro-skin top over a thin base layer was maddening. When the Hydroskin top rolls up on itself when you put it on, sans overlay or underlayer, it is a struggle. Love the concept, love the fit just not the NRS quality I've come to expect.

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin 1.0 Shirt:

The stretchy fabric gives incredible range of motion. The 1.0 is equal to or better than my regular 1.5 neoprene top in regards to warmth. I love the plush feel of the inner lining. I have a 1/4 inch cut on the outer layer on the sleeve but so far hasn't gotten any longer after wearing it a dozen more times.

Product is not cut right in the neck. At the front near the throat area. It feel like it is in reverse.

I have a Zone3 Advance Triathlon Wetsuit. It is tight at the neck but it is very confortable.

              • As An Outer Layer

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin 1.0 Shirt:

I bought this top to replace a longsleeve .5 Hydroskin that I donated in Costa Rica. I used the .5 under a Kokatat dry top for several years without any noticeable problems getting it on and off. Not so with the 1.0 top. The material is very, very sticky. Found myself struggling for up to two minutes to get my drytop on and off. It always hangs up on my shoulders and I cant reach around back with my drytop just over my head to get it off. I have washed the top, just in case - didnt help. Under Layering, on this site, Hydroskin is recommended for use under drytops but I find this particular product to be unsuitable as an under layer for every day use although it works fine - once you manage to pull your drytop over it. That said, I'll be using this as an outside layer when things warm up.
