    Q:

Can I use in White Water Level 3 to 4? Is it strong enough?

I have used this on the Colorado River in Class III rapids and it did well.
I have not attempted anything higher. It has taken a few hits in lower
water but has held up well. Good luck!

Hi. I bought one last year but only used it on class 1 or 2. Depending on your skill level, I think it would be fine for class 3 (if pumped up tight) and maybe some class 4. You will get WET using this item, so be prepared for that. -terry in Georgia

You bet, it'll work fine in that level whitewater. You'll want to install thigh straps and foot pegs to give you better control there.

    Q:

Are there attachments for thigh straps and foot bracing in the Outlaw 2? Can the straps and braces be purchased separately from NRS? Also, what are the pros and cons of the more rigid inflatable floor vs. the inflatable tube floors?

      A:

Huna, It's easy to attach the thigh straps through the drain holes. Inflatable kayak accessories are here - http://www.nrs.com/category/3217/rafting/inflatable-kayak-accessories - You can glue on the MaverIK Foot Braces with Stabond Adhesive, Item # 38704.01, or brace your feet against a thwart. Both types of floors work fine. The benefit of the Outlaw's drop-stitch floor is its rigidity, helping give the boat a stiff, wave punching profile.

I can't speak to the thigh straps, but I understand the foot braces are available... (I need to get some for my boat) As to the ridged inflatable floor, I found it better than a inflatable tube floor in a friends. It seem to give you more control with it stiffness, and in my opinion, makes the boat a bit less prone to 'stick' on partially submerged boulders and rocks..... Bud Baril - Leola, PA

I would like to know how the NRS Outlaw 11 inflatable kayak tracks on flat water.

      A:

Shifty, it's a river boat so won't track very well in the flats. You can glue on a Fin Replacement Plate, Item # 86104.01. Then you can add any of our SUP Board Fins, Item # 86101.02 for excellent tracking.

Yes, you could. You would want to have short paddles since you are sitting lower than you would in most canoes.

Comments about NRS Outlaw II Inflatable Kayak:

So bummed on this product. I've used other inflatable kayaks and remained dry the entire time. Not with this one! 4 to 5 inches of standing water in the boat the entire time! We were completely frozen at the end of a two hour trip. Either buy wetsuits too or get a better boat, but be warned! Very disappointed to say the least!
