Comments about Carlson 6" Hand Pump:

Previously we used an electric pump to fill some inflatable kayaks. When we purchased a larger 13 foot raft the electric pump couldn't keep up.

We were concerned that the hand pump would take a long and require a lot of effort to inflate the larger raft, but we are able to get the raft completed inflated to 2.5 psi within 10-15 minutes.

For our 13 foot raft this pump is a little to big to bring down the river, but we have smaller K-pump for that task.

Comments about Carlson 6" Hand Pump:

Currently below zero in MT so not much rafting happening. Pump is huge relative to the standard 4". Not for hauling around in the raft on multiple day raft trips. Appears very well built and definitely puts out the air. Thought about going smaller but I like it. Will just keep a smaller pump in the dry box.

Comments about Carlson 6" Hand Pump:

I use this Carlson pump to top off my raft at put ins and it is very fast and efficient. With the long hose I can even pump up the raft floor while standing on the ground. The last pump I had would take about ten minutes longer and have me sucking wind.

All your friends (and new friends) will want to borrow it!

No idea about the warranty but really you won't need one. I've had mine for 4 years for pumping up kites and it works as well today as the day I bought it.

It will be great for adding the bulk of the air, but you'll have to work harder if you want to get into the 12-15 psi range. A less expensive pump that's great for those high pressures is the K-Pump 220, Item # 80068.01. Or, for no-sweat inflation the Bravo High Pressure 12 Volt, Item # 80027.01, does all the work for you.
