In this instructional video from NRS, we show you how to re-stuff your rescue throw bag so it will be ready to go when you need it most. A poorly stuffed rope bag can not only be frustrating, it can be dangerous. Properly stuffing your throw rope keeps it free of knots and tangles that can impede a swift-water rescue while whitewater kayaking, rafting or canoeing.

        Good Rope, Good Value.

Comments about NRS Compact Rescue Throw Bag:

Good Rope in a an easy to throw package. My only complaint is that the orange dye fades quickly in the sun, detracting from its high visibility.

I am replacing a friends lost throw bag. The bag was a NRS with a "static Line". Which of you ropes is considered static?

                A:

A static rope is one that will stretch very little. Our bags with Dyneema rope, Items # 45101.01 and 45102.01, fall in that category.

                A:

I think most/all throw ropes are static line as that is what you need when ‘pendulum-ing’ someone to shore.
In contrast a dynamic line is used in climbing: it is slightly elastic so that when you fall and it is attached to you it flexes/stretches slightly so you don’t jerk to a halt at the bottom.
