By mating a tough shock-cord bungee with an adjustable nylon tunnel, we've created a truly universal skirt in the NRS Drylander Universal.
  • Rugged shock cord fits tight against your kayak combing.
  • Tufftex nylon laminate on the neoprene deck sheds water and holds against implosions, while the Infinity coating provides resistance against abrasion in the high wear areas around your combing.
  • Wide nylon tunnel has double hook & loop closures for easy sizing.
  • Webbing grab loop with rubberized grip for quick exiting.
  • Sprayskirt is pre-curved for simple fitting.
  • Ideal for rental programs, outfitters, and anyone who likes an adjustable waist or plans on sharing a sprayskirt.
  • Universal sized waist (fits up to 50".)

To prevent water leakage and implosion, you want a neoprene-deck sprayskirt to fit tight to your kayak cockpit coaming. However, if it's so tight, you have trouble getting it on the rim or pulling it off in an emergency. In this video, we show you how to stretch the skirt a bit.

Comments about NRS Drylander Universal Sprayskirt:

I bought this for my 12 yr old son, which is why I went with an adjustable skirt. It does not fit tightly enough for him, and that is likely the source of the only problems we experienced. Regardless, water continually pooled on the top of he skirt, and leaked into the kayak, presumably through the deck and the loose tunnel. Other than those issues, the skirt works great. It appears to be well constructed, and fits the kayak well.

I HAVE A VERY SMALL 1.2 SIZE COCKPIT BOREAL SAGUENAY AND THE SMALL WAS TOO SMALL. COVER WILL NOT STRETCH. EXCHANGED FOR A MEDIUM WHICH IS VERY TIGHT EVEN AFTER A WEEK OF LEAVING IT ON THE KAYAK TO STRETCH OUT.

Comments about NRS Drylander Universal Sprayskirt:

This product has a great deck, but the tunnel is completely water permeable. The tunnel also sits very close to the edge of the cockpit, so even a drytop won't cover the water-permeable nylon fabric. Even just a splash got me totally soaked.

Comments about NRS Drylander Universal Sprayskirt:

Water pooled around the tunnel and leaked through the nylon. Maybe with suspenders this would work for me, but the tunnel kept sliding down to the point that the nylon was in the pooled water and it leaked through.

I have an Otter Sport kayak with a high seat back. This spray skirt works for me. If your PFD extends low on your back and rest between you and the seat back, you may have a problem. Water does pool around the base of the tunnel and a little seeps through, but it keeps my kayak from flooding. Over all I have been quite satisfied.
