      A:

      Jim,
I own one of these, and like the design.
My understanding (and based on advice of some real H2O addicts) is that
Wetsuits are primarily intended to be used IN the water.
Your body warms a thin layer of water under the wetsuit.
A *wet* wetsuit is subject to wind chill cooling, since when wet, the
material retains some amount of water.
YOUR level of comfort (of course) will be determined by the nature of your
      individual make-up.
That is,whether you are a hot or cold natured person, age, gender and
      general health and condition, etc..
If you are using the wetsuit as intended, it will probably insulate well.
However, If you get it wet then get exposed to cold wind, it may be
      uncomfortable.
MY understanding that a drytop or drysuit is still the optimum equipment
      for cold weather paddling.
A 2mm or 3mm neoprene base layer, or this well-fitting wetsuit UNDER the
drytop - just might work well for really cold conditions.
You will have to investigate this for yourself. Talk to other paddlers in
      your area.
Remember, you will be IN and ON the water, so you have TWO temperatures to
      be concerned with.
It could be a mild day with freezing cold water, or freezing air temps,
      with warmer (relatively) water conditions.
But you will notice, as I did, MOST manufacturers will not give temp ranges
      for their wetsuits.
Hope this helps. Keep paddling, Joe P.

Probably about 48-50 degrees, it can vary with tolerance to cold. I know some surfers that will go out in 45 deg but i wouldnt. Most wetsuit companies would say 50-55 degrees.

Just like sleeping bag temperature it is difficult to judged based on
numbers alone. I can fell you I went swimming on a number of rapids when
the water temperature was in th 40s. So long as you can upright yourself,
have a windbreaker, and dry out relatively quickly, I did not shiver once
      that day.

Comments about NRS Men's Radiant 3.0 Wetsuit - Closeout:

I was hoping to use it for spring and fall SUP surfing, but sizing left to many issues ( my body type) back zipper could not be closed, legs to long, knee pads did not line up, i had a lot of air space in arms. the suit felt like it had good flexability, but could not give it a true real world test. seemed like a good low end suit.

Comments about NRS Men's Radiant 3.0 Wetsuit - Closeout:

Well built with a great zipper. The inside material is super comfy and dries quickly.

Built in knee protection is great for whitewater SUP/Surfing. Getting back on your board multiple times per session can rip up your knees - this suit offer great protection.

The size chart seems a bit off. I am 5'10", 160 and using those and other measurements from the fit guide lead me to purchase a large. It's too big. I recently purchased a farmer john and spring suit in Medium and they fit perfectly.

Also, I wish this suit had zippers on the ankles for easier exit from the suit.

The suit stretches easily and does not hinder movement. Al in all, if you get the right size, you'll be very happy with this suit.
