    Q:

What is the difference between the regular rescue wetsuit and the grizzly wetsuit? Couldn't tell by looking that there was a difference in material?

Mark, the features are the same. The difference is sizing. Take a look at the Sizing tab to see which suit works for you.

It's all about the size. Grizzly is made for bigger people. Check the sizing chart. Hope this helps

    Q:

I am 5 ' 9" , 220 lbs., with 43" waist and 44" chest. I belief the best choice of size for me would be the Grizzly Rescue GL. Is this suite intended for large users, with the same fitting properties as the "Farmer Bill" style Grizzly . (in other words, would the GL size in each suite fit me ?) I would prefer the single piece Rescue wet suite rather than a Farmer Bill in combination with a Grizzly Jacket. I intend to use after ice-out, in Western NY State (Lake Ontario tributaries) and sm. inland lakes , where temps will be at or below 40 deg. F. for the next month. There is a good chance I will wind up in the water, given the tender nature of my lt. wt. Adirondack (Hornbeck) boat. Thanks, Hank

Hank, the Grizzly sizing from suit to suit is the same. Give the GL a try. If it doesn't fit properly, our exchanges are painless.

Is it possible to get this suit without the "RESCUE" lettering?

Sorry, the Rescue lettering is not optional. It is reflective, so it adds to visibility for any user.

    Q:

Do you ever carry this in the G4XL size? I'm 6'1", 315lbs, 44"waist, 56" chest, 32" inseam and that seems like the size that would accommodate my build. If so, when will you have it in stock? My intentions are to use this for kayaking in mildly to moderately cold conditions in south Texas.

      HI,
I bought it for my uncle living in Kazakhstan. What can I say?... He wanted one for rafting on mountain rivers which are cold (apprx +14-18C). And he was happy. So, I think it's right for you. Their size chart is quite precize as well, just in case :)
      Cheers!

This wetsuit doesn't come in that size and it is overkill for south Texas (I grew up there). I'd recommend the Grizzly Wetsuit - #2219 G - http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=2219+G&pdeptid=1162 for you. It does come in the G4XL. And if later you decided you needed to add the Wetsuit Jacket, you'd still be saving money.

FINALLY! A wetsuit made for ME!!! YAY! Thank you NRS...

I am 5'9" and weigh 230 lbs. Yep - I like beer and have a beer belly. This is the FIRST wetsuit which actually fits me correctly. I am also an avid windsurfer and mainly surf in the mid-Atlantic. This suit and the farmer John edition allow me to windsurf well into November and start as early as March!

Please don't discontinue the Grizzly line of sizing - this is my only option for a good, well fitting wetsuit!

Comments about NRS Grizzly Rescue Wetsuit:

I am a Water/SwiftWater Rescue Technician and I bought this suit for use while on a personal watercraft during operations. Although the G-XXL is out of my weight range of 245lbs. I ordered this size because of my 6'4" height. The suit is not totally true to size. Although the body fits well enough the arms and legs are too short. I "fixed" this issue by purchasing a pair of gloves that had a higher gauntlet on them and a longer pair of socks both of which make it so the suit with gloves and socks just cover my entire body. I wouldn't want to do any diving with this suit as I would be afraid of exposure should the arms & legs pull away from the gloves and/or socks but for what I am using it for it is adequate. I have used it once already and appears to be a decent suit other than the sizing issue. I would recommend this suit but caution others about the arm & leg length.
