  • NRS Natural Gloves

    Q:

I am not really sure how to measure size accurately. It seems to me that by changing the angle of measurement minimally I can fluctuate easily by 1/4 inch from S to M to L size.

I ran in to the same problem. I had to return my first pair, but NRS was very
responsive and speedy in my exchange. I found that if you take your smallest
dimension and add 1/4 inch, you should be
OK. If you don't, the fingers may be to short which is not good if you need them
to perform to there max. efficiency. After I got the right fit, I found that
this glove is outstanding! I used it in extreme
conditions and I don't believe I could have picked a better glove. Hope they
work well for you. Good Luck!

Measure according to the diagram on the sizing tab - base of the index finger, diagonally to the widest part of the "heel" of the palm.

I'm very happy with these gloves but I only used them once so can't comment on their durability. I used them for a 4-hour ocean paddle in January with temps in the 20s and mild winds. There was some splash and they got water on them but my hands stayed very dry and comfortable.

I must be a grouch because this is the second negative review I've done of an NRS glove in less than a month. I gave the NRS Hydroskin Glove a bad review because it was cold and leaked, and left my hands wet all day. At least it gripped the paddle very well. I then ordered the Natural Glove on the recommendation of customer service because it was said to be waterproof, warm and "grippy". I used the Natural Glove yesterday and again today. The natural glove lacks any kind of manual dexterity. It is the exact opposite of "grippy". In a short time, my hands felt tired and cramped from trying to keep my paddle from turning. The first time I accidentally dipped my hand in the water, cold water soaked into the glove and didn't warm up. After 20 minutes, my fingers were freezing and I judged the glove to be counter-productive. I took them off and paddled with bare hands, which was preferable to having heavy wet gloves on, because at least without the gloves, my fingers dried out and I had no problem controling the paddle. The gloves soaked up water and retained it. Why put a tight "hydrocuff" on a glove that lets water in through the fingers? The gloves were very difficult to get on, even when dry due to the hydrocuff, and they're very difficult to get off when saturated with cold water. The gloves say "Titanium" on the tops, but what purpose does titanium serve with this kind of performance? You would never pair this glove with a drysuit in cold weather. The glove seriously impairs manual dexterity, as evidenced by the difficulty in getting the second glove on once you're already wearing the first one. It was very difficult to operate my GPS wearing these gloves. Eventually, I took them off and finished the trip bare handed with the gloves between my legs under the spray skirt.

      Comments about NRS Natural Gloves:

I will say that these gloves are very warm. The grip level is the worst i have ever expierenced. I would equate the grip to that of a hand full sun tan oil on my paddle. the texture on the palm is worn after one paddle. I did purschaced these knowing they were thicker than the mavericks but they are way to thick for me. I do plan on ordering another pair of the mavericks.

        Comments about NRS Natural Gloves:

The fit, warmth, workmanship on these gloves all seem to be very good. However on my SUP paddle there was no grip without extreme effort which tired out my hands and made it unsure as I changed strokes, sometimes losing the top grip. I sent them back for the Rapid and all that problem went away

        Comments about NRS Natural Gloves:

These gloves are very slippery on paddle loom and I am not all pleased with these. Very pricey for gloves you have to add anti slipping agent to palms in order to use satisfactorily.
Also leak water into palm area of gloves and are NOT waterproof.
Very disappointed in gloves for the price!!!!

          Comments about NRS Natural Gloves:

ok I am using this for stand up paddle boarding-variety of waters and when putting on waist leash or ankle leash have to take gloves off because the soft pad part catches on velcro.also have velcro on booties and top of wetsuit so once gloves on cannot adjust them in the water or nearby without taking gloves off, that is the most annoying.
im not sure if anyone else has this problem but its quite annoying.
i have a small and that is a fairy tight fit but I have not warn them that much.
the precurve is a little strange.
