Is this a one size fits all type glove? My grandson is on the kayka team, but he is only 10 years old and needs something like this. Are kayka pogies like these?

      A:

Yes, this type of hand protections is called a "pogie." It lets the paddler have their bare hand on the paddle shaft, while still getting protection from the elements.

These are really warm. I like the way they repel water that might splash onto them. They are nice and fuzzy on the inside, with a smooth softshell type material on the outside and wind doesn't penetrate the material. Also, they are easy to get in and out of, light weight and very nice looking... I love these things!

Got these for white water kayaking but they are to difficult to get on while on the water. Might be ok for flat water kayaking. They look nice and feel and they are very comfortable, but just to flimsy to get on easily with out using 2 hands or your teeth. Bought the snap dragon poggies and they are stiff enough that you can slip your hand in without assistance from your other hand or mouth.

Very warm! fuzzy inside, good seal around the paddle, but the opening is pretty small. I have decent sized hands and wear fingerless gloves, so that doesn't help. Still worth it.
