When it's too cold to go gloveless, but you don't need winter protection, NRS Men's HydroSkin Gloves will cut the chill without sacrificing grip or feel. Less bulk, total comfort, just enough extra warmth.
  • Great for those in-between-weather paddles, or for when the air's warm but the water's cold (or vice versa).
  • The 0.5 mm neoprene core layer insulates and protects without adding too much bulk.
  • The PowerSpan™ exterior stretches in four directions, allowing unrestricted use of your most important paddling equipment - your hands.
  • The ThermalPlush™ inner lining increases insulation, repels moisture and dries quickly for added comfort.
  • GripCote™ texture on the palm and fingers provides a better grip and added durability.
  • A durable water repellent (DWR) coating helps the gloves shed water, reducing evaporative cooling.
  • A soft strip of fleece on the back of the thumb is perfect for wiping the sweat from your brow without chafing.
  • An adjustable hook-and-loop "bike-glove" tab secures the glove at the wrist for easy on-and-off.

Glove did not have grip-texture coating on index finger & ended up being a major problem for me. I surf a SUP on the central coast of Ca. & the lack of grip texture on index finger made my paddle & my board want to slip from my grip. Also the velcro closure doesn't make a secure long term closure & is quite bulky under wet suit sleeve. I have a discontinued pair of your gloves very much like your crew gloves with no wrist closure which I like very much but your current crew glove doesn't come in size large which is why I tried the Hydro Skin gloves. I will give the 2016 crew gloves a try when they become available.

Sizing a problem

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin Gloves - Closeout:

Liked the glove but the way NRS sized it by palm width and hand length made it impossible to get the correct width w/o the glove being too long. Returned it and bought a similar glove from Kokatat which fit perfectly.

Cons

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin Gloves - Closeout:

The absence of traction on the second [pointer] finger made a tighter grip a requirement to avoid poor blade position. Whoops! The rest of the glove is fine

Comments about NRS Men's HydroSkin Gloves - Closeout:

I needed a new pair of gloves for winter paddling and someone recommended this glove to me. I was pleasantly surprised that these gloves lived up to the rave reviews. They give info on measuring, I followed it to a 'T' and I received the right size.

            Q:

I love my Hydro-Skin sox but my feet sweat in them. Do these gloves have any breathable properties or, are they watertight like the sox?

No, they are not waterproof and I do not find that they make your hands hot

              Louie,
I now have two pairs (my wife stole one) used them a number of times, love them. It was a cooler out so I did not notice them causing my hands to sweat, not sure how it would be on a hot summer day of paddling? I would think ok!

Louie, HydroSkin is a thin neoprene wetsuit material and is not breathable.

They are not watertight so they get wet (and breathe) but keep your hands
warm. I like the rubber designs on the palms and fingers that improve
gripping the paddle. If I want to keep my hands dry and warmer I wear the
              titanium gloves.

Unlike socks, if your hands get hot you can take them off. I have never found them to be a problem.

They are not "padded", however they are lined and incredibly comfortable. They have a textured grip on the palm side of the gloves and greatly improve my grasp even when wet. I have used these gloves while paddling, sailing, and even while waterfowl hunting. I love them and would highly recommend this product.

No they are not padded. They do have a nice grippy surface where it is
needed on the fingers and palm. I like the way they fit.
