    Q:

I am 5/7 and weigh roughly 160. I own the large but don't like the tight fit. Would a extra large fit more comfortably? I do not plan on using this for layering.

      Hi Matt,
I'm 5'10 and weight 160. For me the fit is good. I want it as a rash guard
for snorkeling and and might also use it as a base layer for kayaking and
skiing. But if it feels too small, go with comfort.

Matt, this shirt is a "rashguard", designed for a snug, body conforming fit. If you're looking for something with a more relaxed fit, consider the Crossover Shirt, Item # 10101.01. It has the same fabric as the HydroSilk Shirt in the shoulders and sleeves, and a lighter weight wicking, sun-protective fabric in the torso. It;s the same price.

I am 6' 195lb and started with the large and exchanged it for XL and found
the fit to be more comfortable, so it should work for you as well.

I am 6 ft and 220 pounds and own the large - it is indeed tight fitting, which bothered me first, so I ordered the XL. I ended up returning the XL and stuck with the more tight fitting L since there was not much difference between the two in fit, both are quite tight. I believe all shirts in this model will not be relaxed fitting, you'll just end up with longer sleeves if you move up in size.

I'm 5'10, 180 and the large shirt fits tight, although that is how I want it. I use it for both an under layer for cold weather and by itself for sun protection. I've had it for around 4 years and it is still in great shape after many washes and wears.

      Hi Matt,
I have the XL for the very reason that I didn't like the tight fit of the L.
I'm female and lift weights so I have broad shoulder plus.J. The XL will
still be a little snug. I use the hydrosilk for snorkeling, so I want it a
little snug - keeps the jellyfish out. The XL works perfectly for me, but
you'll need to decide if a little snug, but less snug than the L will work
      for you.

My husband weighs 205 pounds and is 6"4" tall. His size is a XL except for his height. Will an XXL be snug enough while accommodating the length of his body?

I am 6'0" 195 lb and the XL fits snug enough and has plenty of length. So
the XXL should work. Plus if itdoes not fit the NRS return policy is
      extremely easy/friendly

not the easiest question. at 5 ft 8 I have noticed all sleeves on any shirt made by anybody are too long! good for you at 6' 4".. welp I would get both sizes and send one back.  don't feel bad if sometimes you have to use a return policy. In MTB ing I just sent back a $240 armore jacket because of not enough protection on shoulders. gloves went back too small as well.why? my palms are the size of a 6'1" person. I wanted to cry! but I rested in the fact that I must be willing to occasionally send something back. Your husband clearly has an excellent wife!
I would go with the XL. These shirts (I own 2) are quite stretchy and you
want them to be pretty snug. Also, If wearing with a pair of pants or
shorts (ie: NRS Rodeo), they come up pretty high.
Worst comes to worst, you can always return for the larger size.
      Hope this helps,

The shirt that you have picked is designed to fit snug or tight, so I would buy the XL and checked to see if it comes in a long for people with long trunk. I would think that the XXL would be too loose in the waist and too large over all defeating the purpose of warmth.

      Hi Katy,
I am 6'4" and 210 lbs. I wear XXL and it is snug but comfortable. It does cover my long arms without any issue. Please email me if you need any other info. We love the NRS line and have several pieces for our kayaking adventures.

      Hi
I am 6ft 5in and weigh 220lbs. I have two size XXL hydro silk long sleeve tops that I wear constantly.
I find that the tops are quite tight and possibly a little short so if you are 6ft 4 inch and 205 lbs the length should be fine.
I think that the XXL would be a better choice than XL on the basis that it is better to have a top long enough and maybe a little looser than it could be rather than to have a top that is tight but too small length wise. Being a little loose is much better than being too small in my opinion.
I don't actually think it will be too loose unless you like very tight clothes. These tops have a lot of stretch in them so it shouldn't feel loose.

      Bill

Took two of these shirts on a 2-day 30 mile Wisconsin River trip for the purpose of sun protection. The temps were in the 80's, and the shirt felt breathable, and I felt comfortable. They work really well as rashgaurds, as sometimes for extended trips I will get rashed from my kayak seat on my lower back, but this time I was totally good.

I normaly wear Medium size t-shirts, but I ended up getting these shirts in Large, because I didn't want them to be crazy tight, just "not loose", and Large was the perfect balance for me

I used to buy the NRS long sleeve microlite sun shirts, but they apparently no longer carry them and I was forced to buy this Hydrosilk. The Microlight was much better for the beach or pool to protect against sun. The Hydrosilk fits way too tight and is thicker material...way too hot.
