    Q:

Hi do you have replacement globes for Eco Flare?

      A:

We can get a replacement globe for you from Princeton Tec. However, shipping it to you in Australia would be expensive. Check local dive shops for the part. If you can't find that part in country it'll probably be as cheap to buy a new light, again if it's available in country.

      A:

I have found the replacement bulbs at any Dive shop. It's a common product. Since I am a kayaker, I try to support NRS and if they have it, I order it from them first unless I needed right away (next day). Otherwise, once I calculate time, mileage/fuel and tax, it's cheaper to get it from NRS with shipping than the store.
To sum it up, if NRS does not have it, any Dive shop should have this common and popular bulb.

Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare:

I have only used the red flasher so far, flashes about 4-5 times per second which seems a little faster than I would like but it's not bad. Seems to be visible enough on clear nights, but I like how it's not too bright. I don't notice it that much when it's on my back.

Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare:

I keep mine attached to the back of my PFD. It's better than nothing. Don't take me wrong. It's not that bad. In fact, it's pretty decent. I just wished it had a brighter light or maybe the diffuser cone is too thick. Not sure how it would work if I was ever separated from my Kayak or canoe in the lake or ocean in the middle of the night. I hope I never have to find out.

Good little light to use as a location beacon. Battery lasts a good 7-8hrs with the white bulb in.

Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare:

I bought this as a light to attach to my PFD for a river paddle race. I was very happy with it. It is very bright but not too obnoxiously bright, the battery life is impressive (I got 11 hours out of it) and I like the flash and no flash option. A solid value on a mandatory piece of safety gear.

this was used as a bow light for sculling and the problem was consistent mis threading of the 2 components!
