Visibility is key to safety on the water. Navisafe has developed a series of attachment systems for their popular Navi Lights. The Telescopic Pole mounts securely to your boat and can be adjusted to fit your needs.
  • The non-corroding metal pole extends from 19 1/4" to 29 3/4" (48 cm to 76 cm) to maximize visibility.
  • Extend the upper portion of the pole by twisting it counterclockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten.
  • The base plate attaches securely to your boat with three screws.
  • The base swivels 180 degree and locks in place so you can run your lights vertically or horizontally, regardless of where you mount it.
  • This 180 degree swivel allows you to lay the Pole flat on the boat deck when the light isn't in use.
  • The Standard Navi Light mount attaches to your Navi Light securely and swivels 20 degrees to either side.

  • Navisafe Telescopic Pole

Can this be adapted to mount into a Scotty 341 Glue-on mount?

Jerry, the Navisafe Pole has three screw holes in its base, in a triangular pattern. Two of those holes almost match two in the 341 mount. You'd just have to ovalize one of the holes in the pole base to get a match. Pay attention to the screw length you use, especially if you're mounting it on an inflatable.

            Comments about Navisafe Telescopic Pole:

Because half the locking grooves are missing, you can't tighten this thing's base enough for it to stand upright for very long. The grooves on one piece press against a flat surface on the other, resulting in half of the designed friction being lost to saving pennies by manufacturing a flat surface. Hey Navi-"safe," why not save a few more pennies and make the other face flat too? That would generate twice the friction than this one-side-grooved other-side-flat connection creates and it might actually stay upright for a while.

You can very easily lose a critical piece of this thing (the thumbscrew) into the sea, especially since the pole will be located behind you (where it is not in the way of paddling). And yet, you MUST use this thumbscrew to install or remove the pole. There is NO clicking anything into place. Because you can't click it into place, you must install this thing before you start your trip or you are taking a BIG risk of losing the thumbscrew into the sea. Also, even if somehow it were not so easy to lose the thumscrew, the attachment of the pole to the base is still a 2-handed process, between "quite awkward" and "impossible" to acoomplish yourself at sea.

The extension locking mechanism randomly gets itself into a state where it won't lock into the extended position. You can't depend on getting it to lock into position, so you must con it into a locked position before you start your trip.

The only way you could possibly use this thing is to fully install and extend it before starting your trip, but if you do that, and if it's installed where you can reach it to turn the light on and off yourself, this thing is a saftey hazard due to it physically impeding recovery and/or rescue.

You could only safely use it installed a couple feet behind the rear hatch so it's out of the way of rescue & recovery, but way back there you will need someone else to turn it on, but they aren't going to turn it on for you, because the light will blind anyone kayaking with you, so really you can only use this thing alone but it is bascically impossible to use it alone.

This product is just not a "for real" product. Don't buy it!

no option to attach to ttop rail/thicker rail,
the rail attachment option is for smaller rail than the average t -top aluminum rail
