Commonly heard complaints from boaters are "My wetshoes dry slowly" and "My shoes really stink." The problems are related. Neoprene shoes don't "breathe" so moisture escapes slowly unless you work to eliminate it. And bacteria and other microorganisms in the water and from your feet can generate odors in those moist conditions. This video shows how to clean and dry watershoes to head off odor. And if stinky shoes happen, we show how to eliminate it.

Comments about NRS Women's Paddle Wetshoe - Closeout:

This product is very good for canoe racing. The sole is hard for portage but the shoe is soft enough to fit comfortably while paddling in the bow.

I had to return these. The ordering instructions say to get at least 1 size up. I ordered a pair 2 sizes bigger and they were still way too small. The zippers are "catchy" even when brand new, too.

Comments about NRS Women's Paddle Wetshoe - Closeout:

I purchased these to begin learning how to kayak. My first time out was a cold day, so I was a little skeptical that these would keep my feet warm. I stayed warm and dry the entire time. I wore my gortex jacket and gortex pants from a recent climb to keep me dry everywhere else, but needed something for my feet. They were a little difficult to zip at the top because of the tight fit, but once zipped, they were fine. If you have thick ankles this might be a problem, but for me it worked fine. I purchased one size above my normal shoe size, and the fit was good. I was in water up to my ankles a couple of times while putting the kayak into the water and removing it, and my feet stayed warm and dry the entire time.

Comments about NRS Women's Paddle Wetshoe - Closeout:

I have worn these 3 times and I absolutely love them! They are not only comfortable, but they kept my feet warm in chilly water when wading to get in and out of my kayak. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they definitely run small. I wear either 7.5 or 8, depending on the shoe. I went up to a 9 and they were too small. My toes hit the end of the toe box. I exchanged them for a size 10 and they are perfect. I was able to add a thin sock liner and my feet stayed dry and toasty for 3+ hour paddles. And they are comfortable to walk in, too!!!

Comments about NRS Women's Paddle Wetshoe - Closeout:

I ordered two water boots from NRS: Boundary and women's paddle shoes. I kept the Boundary (left comment on that site), and returned the women's paddle shoes. I wear a size 8.5, and had ordered a 9 in both boot types. The boundary fit fine (with room for a hikiing sock), but the paddle shoes without a sock had my toes hitting the front of the shoe. What I didn't expect was for the top of the paddle shoe to be so tight. Unless you have the ankle/calf of a 6 year old, don't expect the zipper to zip without cutting off your blood supply. It's too bad as it's a well-constructed boot, just not configured to a woman's leg anatomy. Lest you think, I'm very overweight, I am not. I'm probably under average weight for a mature woman.
The return policy for NRS was very good. No issues with that at all. In fact, had I not read the reviews on this site stating the good rapport that NRS has with returns, I wouldn't have ordered anything.
I have an intense dislike for ordering any clothes/footwear on line that I haven't tried on previously or know that I can do a no-hassle return.
I'm quite pleased with the Boundary boot, and NRS in general.
