Commonly heard complaints from boaters are "My wetshoes dry slowly" and "My shoes really stink." The problems are related. Neoprene shoes don't "breathe" so moisture escapes slowly unless you work to eliminate it. And bacteria and other microorganisms in the water and from your feet can generate odors in those moist conditions. This video shows how to clean and dry watershoes to head off odor. And if stinky shoes happen, we show how to eliminate it.

Im a ladies size 8 what size do I purchase if these are men's sizes?

The shoe size in the men's seems to be true to size. I think normally you go one size down for women. A size 8 women is a size 7 men. Hope this is helpful.

Men's sizing was accurate, and did purchase another

I have bought my daughter NRS wet shoes before. They size just like street shoes for men's/woman's. Your size 8 should be a men's size 6 but double check, I believe that is the rule I followed.

I didn’t know there was a difference in sizing between men and women shoe sizes. I wear a men’s 10.5 so I ordered the 11 and was very happy. I looked it up for you and you should subtract two sizes from your women’s size to find the equal in a man’s shoe. Your size is an 8 so you should choose a 6 in a man’s shoe. NRS has an excellent return/exchange policy.
      Good luck...

I found this shoe to be true to size if ordering for a female. I wear a women's size 9 and ordered the NRS Kinetic in a 9 and they fit perfectly. If ordering for a male you will need to order up a size or two.

Hello, I wear a women's size 10 and ordered that size is this shoe. I was
able to wear seal socks with the shoe and without socks I was able to
tighten the shoe with the adjustment on the back for a comfortable fit..
Very roomy toe area and very comfortable. I hope this helps.

Danielle, the shoe is in men's sizing. So, if you're wearing them over bare feet or thin socks, for your fiancee go with an 11. For your the 10 should be fine. If you were planning to wear them with thick socks or drysuit socks, go up a size.

      Good Day,
I'm a male with narrow feet and wear a 9.5 Merrell Moab Ventilator regular
trail shoe and the ventilator fits like a glove for hiking (this is only for
      fit comparison).
The same shoe you are looking to buy I were a size 10 and normally were a
9.5 shoe. My big toe just touches the end of the shoe. The shoes are a
little loose on the sides for me but the fit is very comfortable.
You should be ok going up to the next full size, so if you wear a 9.5 you
would wear a 10 in this shoe. If you are closer to an 11 in a regular shoe
You might want to think about going to a 12 if you portage a lot and have
issues with bruising your toe nails.
      Hope this helps,

      A:

Yes, the toes are free to move like in a normal shoe. I found that the my normal size was a fraction too small and so I returned the shoe for one size larger.

      A:

The toes are not separated. I ordered a size larger. The drawstring in
back is a nice feature in that you can cinch it up and not lose a shoe in a
      mucky shoreline.

How does this hold up if there is a lot of walking on sand?
Asked on 3/24/2014 by Dotty from NH

      A:

Dotty, the Kinetic has a relatively thin sole that works great for tucking your feet into tight cockpits. If that's not a high priority for you the Kicker Remix has some similar features with a thicker sole.

Comments about NRS Kinetic Water Shoe:

I've got big feet (13) and can't wear a lot of shoes in the boat. So that was the goal and it works. I was afraid the string ties at the heal would cause issues in the boat but no problem. The sole is light but plenty enough for working around the shore and, again, fits in the boat. Not much arch support, if you want to walk around town this is not the shoe, but that's not it's job. I might wish for a half-size, 12 1/2, but whatever, I can hop in and out of the boat and paddle without worrying about my feet. I'm a fan.

I wear a 10.5 and my toes hit on a size 11. The toecap wraps over your toes, so it is hard, and uncomfortable. I'll try another style and hope for the best.
