Comments about NRS Split Kayak Storage Flotation:

Purchased 8 of these. Six leaked right out of the box. Yes, NRS *may* replace them, but since our nearest PO is way far away, big hassle. So we've gone to other brands that don't leak. What good is flotation that won't float? Suggest you look elsewhere for quality flotation

Comments about NRS Split Kayak Storage Flotation:

I bought this dry bag for my creek boat. It is too long so it doesn't work all that well. It would be better suited for a touring kayak. I like the idea of a float/storage bag and the quality seems descent. I've used it a few times, but it hasn't been in a situation where it was submerged so I can't comment on it's ability to keep things dry.

I can't really see how the roll-down works, can't see any buckles.
This is without a zip, what you have on those orange bags, right?

                      A:

Thomas, to use the storage float, insert your gear, putting something soft at the opening, if possible. Having the bag full will allow you to get the best seal. Then, fold the bag lips several times and tuck them inside the zipper closure. Zip it shut and add air with the inflation hose.

Sorry for the confusion. The bow bags are the same as the ones in Split Kayak Flotation, Item # 50080.01. You can purchase them there. They are sold individually, by the "each".

I have a liquid logic xp9. What type of stern and bow bag works the best. There is a water tight bulkhead behind the seat and rear storage hatch.

                      A:

When sizing float bags for a kayak, measure the dimensions of the open space. Compare that to the dimensions listed for the various bags. Bag dimensions are for inflated bags. Choose bags the same size of the open space, or larger. A larger bag will expand to fill the space.
