Replacment helmet for an older simlar helmet

By Bud

Comments about WRSI Current Rescue Helmet without Vents - Closeout:

Only paddling helmet maker that indicates it has thought about what a helmet needs to do and then tested their ideas against some engineering standard to simulate what happens on the river. Why would you buy anything else?

The fact that one can add and remove pads makes it possible to use it with or without a neoprene hood. This newer helmet has a better liner than the one it replaced, too.

I wonder why these helmets don't use a simple d ring for the neck strap. They are easier to adjust and seem to work fine in the motorcycle world. The quick connect buckle is a pain to adjust for changing the fit to accommodate a neoprene hood.

Service and delivery comments:

This helmet was a replacement whose quick connect would no longer stay connected. I was not expecting NRS to replace the well used helmet, but after sending it in for inspection they did. They own WSRI so they are standing behind the product. Good for them and I will consider them for future paddling purchases.

Comments about WRSI Current Rescue Helmet without Vents - Closeout:

This is my third of this make of helmet. I have a large head and these have been the most comfortable helmets that I have found. The sizing pads work well. Also, I have taken a few hard hits while upside down and no ill effects.
