The Guide to the Middle Fork and Main Salmon Rivers is a must-have guidebook for your trip down the Salmon. Durable and waterproof, with USGS maps and excellent descriptions of river features.
  • This book covers the entire permitted portions of Idaho's Salmon river, from the Boundary Creek launch site on the Middle Fork to the Carey Creek take out on the Main Salmon.
  • Spiral bound format with full color topo maps on right side and complete text descriptions on the facing page.
  • Color photos highlight some of the river's more famous attractions and features.

  • There are also info pages on frequently asked questions about boating the river, area geology, archaeology, resources protection and plants found along the river.

Comments about RiverMaps Middle Fork & Main Salmon River 3rd Edition Guide Book:

I tied this guide onto my raft seat and used it constantly. All of the waypoints in the guide matched up exactly with the waypoints on my GPS so I had plenty of warning of approaching rapids and campsites. it is waterproof and well built. It even tells you the best route thru rapids.

      Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was very prompt and guide arrived in perfect condition.

Comments about RiverMaps Middle Fork & Main Salmon River 3rd Edition Guide Book:

I have previously floated the middle fork. First time was 1985. In U S forest service guide at the time instructions on how to maneuver in various Rapids was included. The "new" FS guide omits them. The River Maps includes them including interesting information on campsites and other interesting sites. You'll want this guide.

          Service and delivery comments:

          Service is excellent as usual

Comments about RiverMaps Middle Fork & Main Salmon River 3rd Edition Guide Book:

I used it to help chronicle a rafting trip down the Main Salmon from Corn Creek to Carey Creek. I would recommend it to anyone rafting the Salmon or the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.

            Service and delivery comments:

Service was excellent, very prompt delivery.

Comments about RiverMaps Middle Fork & Main Salmon River 3rd Edition Guide Book:

Alder Creek Rapid description could use two updates. The first being a recommend to scout (it has a blue star on the map but no mention in description) and secondly, the rocks have shifted and the right side is a five foot waterfall!
