Comments about TrekSta Men's Kisatchie Sandal:

I purchased these with the intent of using them only for kayaking and quickly saw my plans ruined by their superior comfort and convenience. It took about two weeks for these to replace my everyday wear shoes, and so far I haven't found a single thing that they do not do well with the exception of dry sand and loose gravel (due to the large open areas). I'm very hard on my shoes (a pair of good quality shoes typically lasts me 6-8 months) and after 2 years a single pair of these TrekStas is still going strong with moderate sole wear and one single 1 1/2 inch long tear in the sole material as the only visible damage.
As stated, dry sand and gravel will work their way in through the open areas of the shoe and wreak havok with your feet if you aren't careful. Wearing ggod socks can mitigate the damage somewhat, as can adjusting the BOA system to the proper tension so the shoe really hugs your foot. Wet sand and packed gravel presented no difficulties.
If I have to nit-pick then I can only find two small gripes about the shoe. If you wear them without socks they pick up the "foot funk" odor abnormally fast. On the other hand, it fades quickly with a quick rinse and two or three days without use. My other gripe would be that if you forget to remove the insole they take what seems like forever to dry. I feel these are very minor annoyances at best in the face of the otherwise all-around outstanding performance of these shoes.
As an added bonus I found that when traveling I could breeze through TSA checkpoints without having to take my shoes off.

I've bought cheap water shoes before but they always would fall off. Not these, they wear like a regular shoe, could even use them for everyday wear.

Comments about TrekSta Men's Kisatchie Sandal:

I'm a river guide and these shoes didn't last one season. Yeah the ratchet tightening system is fast and convenient, but the designers did not think of sand grinding down plasic and metal gears. The filament used to tighten the shoe lost its cover after being jammed under a thwart or in a foot cone and the cable began abraiding the shoe itself. Shame on you NRS, someone being thoughtful in giving a poor river rat guide-gear trusted your "quality" gear. P.S. This is a rocky mountain season we're talking about here (4 months).

Comments about TrekSta Men's Kisatchie Sandal:

Just a bad fit all around. I tried 2 different sizes but they are just uncomfortable, painful, awkward and caused immediate blisters. I tried giving them to my friend and he gave them back and couldn't wear them either. Now I spent all that money and can't even give them away. I'm usually positive and happy with NRS, and I know it's not your fault but I got screwed with this purchase. Very bad product!!!!!!

No so good. Has a insole that gets sideways in a wet situation.
