Comments about NRS Baron 6 Inflatable SUP Board:

I borrowed this board to paddle the Grand Canyon (it was awesome) I bought it because of its stability. I can put anyone, no matter size or ability on it, and it is super stable. I paddle with a handicapped dog and no matter how much he flounders around I do not feel him. A great board for a family to share, a killer primary board for a big person, a great add on board for having a solid go to for any situation.

    • NRS Baron 6 Inflatable SUP Board

      Q:

What glue and d-rings would I order to attach a cheetah chair to this? Would the attachment of d-rings to the sides of the board adversely affect anything, like rolling up the board for storage? Sometimes I like to paddle it like a kayak, but w/o a supportive seat my back rebels before long.

        A:

The D-rings that match the boards are Item # 86107.01, Use Clifton Urethane Adhesive, # 38700.01. Instructions and how-to video is on the product page. You should be able to fold around D-ring placements. Take the positioning into account when deciding where to put them.

      Q:

      Hey,

I'm wanting to get a SUP - all purpose use, flat water, rivers, etc... I am 6 ft 195lb male. I figure my dog would probably ride with me sometimes. She's about 80lb. I'm new to SUPing but am an experienced ww canoeist and rafter.

Looking through the boards it looked like the Baron 6 was a good choice but wanted to confirm with folks who know the game better than me. Any thing else I should consider?

      thanks,
      michael

Michael, I think that's a good choice for you. The thickness will give the buoyancy you need and the width makes it more stable when you, and your dog, are starting to master SUP!

How long does this board take to fully inflate

        A:

Inflating it with the Super Pump that comes with it, it'll take about 10 minutes. You can speed that up, or at least take some of the work out of the job, by using a battery-powered pump to initially add the main volume, then bring it up to full pressure with the Super Pump.
