- NRS PVC SUP Board D-Ring Patch
Q:Are these only for the inflatable SUP's or could I use these on the hard boards - there is no tie-downs on my board to pull it up on the dock and secure it.
ThanksAsked on 8/7/2014 by Steph
A:The answer to your question depends on the surface you're gluing to. The
recommended glues are for PVC. You could try an adhesive designed for your
board surface as long as it will adhere to the patch as well. Personally,
I would never use a ring like this for security or to support the entire
weight of the board while lifting it.

A:I used it in a fiberglass kayak. Just be sure to get compatible adhesive.Answered on 8/7/2014 by Anonymous
A:Yes, Steph, you can certainly use these patches on other surfaces. Not knowing what material is used in your board, I can't be sure of the adhesive to recommend. However, G/flex Epoxy, Item # 50201.01, will certainly bond to the D-ring patch, and to fiberglass and many plastics. It's not a contact cement so you'll need to apply weight on the patch while it cures. A:Sure, you can glue it to most anything. I recommend using 2-part PVC glue
