More Information

Material: 1-5/8" 6061-T6 Anodized Aluminum Frame Pipe
Components:
  • 1 - Yoke
  • 4 - LoPro Fittings
  • 4 - U-bolts with nuts and washers
Notes:
  • NRS Cataraft Yokes place the center of the lower side rails 10" below the center of the top side rail. Generally they work best on NRS River Cats, Kodiak Cats and other manufacturer's cat tubes 24" or larger in diameter. Measure the depth of your inside D-rings to see if this is your best choice. For cats with smaller diameter tubes, the Sport Cat Frame (# 92072.02) is an excellent choice.

    Q:

Can one of these be used instead of two spreader bars to keep a cargo floor taunt? If so does it matter much where it is placed in relation to the floor?
I'm building a 16' river cat from scratch with Andy&Bax's help and at the stage where I'm putting a NRS top cat frame order together. The cat will be used for overnight trips on the lower Deschutes and for day trips on the upper Sandy River outside Portland which has a lot of boulders during average/low flows.

      A:

The yoke can be used for that purpose. However, Spreader Bars are much cheaper and being under the floor don't create a barrier.

    Q:

Can the 66 in. Be altered to allow for the wider mesh floors you sell? As in the 72 wide floor on the 66 in. wide frame? I would like to use the cat yokes as opposed to the drop rails i have now for more versatility. But want to keep my floor I have now as well as spreader bars. Aire 16 Jaguarundi.

Scotty, the only way to do that without extensive cutting and resewing of the mesh would be to tuck the loops down under the lower side rails and either use cam straps, webbing or rope to weave the loops across from one another together.

Quite possibly, Alex, depending on your design requirements. You will need to provide us with a drawing with precise measurements. We'll run that by our Frameshop wizards and get you an answer. You can email it to service@nrs.com, or mail it to NRS, 2009 South Main St,, Moscow, ID 83843
