  • NRS Raft Fishing Frame

    Q:

Do you sell seat for rower with stand up bar for front person to fish from? How big is this frame and can it fit in back of SUV or truck?

      A:

We do have thigh bars/hooks that can attach to any cross member on your raft frame. NRS frames come in a variety of sizes to fit different boats specifications. All frames can break down to individual pieces which can fit in the bed of a truck or back of an SUV.

  • NRS Raft Fishing Frame

    Q:

Can you fit a raft or catamaran for two fisherman ie both seats raised some. I have always fished from back of canoe (for 60 years of fishing) but not sure if I can effectively fish from the lower mounted rower seat. I do not want to be just a guide or rower.

If there are two people in the boat someone's going to be rowing. I've not heard anyone rowing from the Angler Seat Bar, but it would only be a bit higher than rowing from the Flip Seat Mount, Item # 92019.02. You'd want the 10" Oar Mounts, # 91042.02, for sure. Other options would be to trade-off rowing and fishing, Or to add a Stern Seat Mount, # 92017.02, and team up with someone who likes rowing better than fishing!

You would not be able to row from an elevated seat, even with a taller oar
lock tower, the oars would be below your legs. If you're in calm water you
should be able to fish from the rowers seat or just stand up. If the water
isn't slow enough to stand up you should probably be on the oars anyways.

  • NRS Raft Fishing Frame

    Q:

How easy is it to add crossbars to hold a cooler and a drybox with a 66' fishing frame on a 14 foot boat?
    Asked on 4/19/2015 by Bengal44

      A:

It's easy to add cross bars, but you have to have the space for the bars and the cooler and dry box. There's not enough space on 66": side rails (~ 13" dry box + ~ 16" cooler + ~ 7" cross bars = 36". And you have the seat bar, foot bar and Angler seat bar. If you have a 14' raft you probably have a longer flat area. Measure that, then give us a call, 800.635.5202, and we can build you a custom frame with longer side rails.

It depends on how your seats and thwarts are arranged and how many people
are in the boat but should be easy to add at least a cooler or dry box. The
crossbars just bolt right in and you can move them where convenient.

  • NRS Raft Fishing Frame

    Q:

Will a casting platform, rear thigh bar, and stern seat fit on a DRE frame that I already have?
Asked on 4/3/2015 by Zach from Basalt, CO

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Zach, DRE currently uses a couple of different diameters of pipe in their frames (1 5/8" and 1.9"). If your frame has the 1 5/8" diameter pipe all of those accessories will fit.

Chad, you can certainly return it; however, let's try to determine first whether you've got a fit or not. • NRS Raft Fishing Frame

    Q:

Will the 60 x 68 frame work in a saturn 14' inflatable boat (zodiak type/ non raft type) ? any better frame recommendation for this boat type ?

      A:

To determine the proper frame size, measure the center-to-center distance on the side tubes. The frame should be that wide, or wider. On length, measure the flat area. This is explained in this article - http://www.nrs.com/frames/raftframes.asp
