Put a fisherman on the back of your raft with the NRS Stern Seat Mount. Includes a High-Back Swivel Seat that rotates 360 degrees for unlimited casting angles.
  • The seat mount rests on the raft stern tube, elevating the angler for better visibility and casting.
  • The included High-Back Swivel Seat lets you fish in comfort all day long.
  • The padded seat swivels easily for the best seating angle.
  • The side rails curve to follow the raft tubes, keeping the stern compartment open and clear.
  • Two sizes ensure a good fit on both small and large rafts.
  • The NRS Raft Stern Frame Anchor System attaches directly to the tubing of the seat bar.
  • The heart of the NRS frame system, the LoPro™ Fitting allows complete adjustability for all frame parts. Now made in stronger, lighter hot-forged aluminum alloy.

Product Tips

  • The Stern Seat Mount works best when the seat bar rests on or near the apex of the raft's stern tube. (This is especially true if you're adding a Raft Anchor Mount.) Measure the distance from the center of the rear frame crossbar to the center of the stern tube panel. If that distance differs from the stock stern rail lengths (32" on the Small and 36" on the Large), call for assistance with ordering.

Wish it wasn't welded on

Comments about NRS Frame Stern Seat Mount - Closeout:

I have a NRS fishing frame on a non-NRS raft. The fishing frame fits and works great but adding this on my boat put the seat at an angle and cannot be adjusted because it is welded to the bar. Facing forward the seat is tilted to the ground and facing rear the seat reclines. Very uncomfortable. NRS sells a seat mount that is attachable by u-bolts like the rest of the frame, which would make it adjustable and should have just made that the standard for this accessary.

i have a oddesey 15 1/2 ft with the nrs frame set up. I want add the rear stern seat mount, would I need the larger option

Emery, i looked at Odyssey's website, but they don't have enough information for me to give you an answer. Measure from the center of the pipe on the rear cross bar the seat mount will attach to, to the center of the raft's back tube panel. If one of our our stock lengths doesn't work for you, we can make you some customs.

Will this mount work with a cataraft?

Josh, it's designed for the seat to sit on the stern panel of a raft. It won't work on a cat. For that you can use a regular seat bar or a raised seat bar. To more fully explore your options, please give us a call, 800.635.5202.

    Q:

Is the seat base removable from the cross rail? I would like to use an anchor mount in the center and only occasionally use the seat.

The seat mount is not removable from the cross rail.  The anchor mount will be  off to either side of the seat.

Stern Seat Mounts currently in stock have a seat bar with seat plate welded in the center of the bar. However, we have just recently added a new forged aluminum part, the Universal Seat Mount, Item # 94015.01. You can mount one of our padded rowing seats, swivel or non-swivel, to it. It attaches to a frame pipe with two U-bolts, so will be easily removable. To order your Stern Seat Mount with this option, give us a call, 800.635.5202.

  • NRS Frame Stern Seat Mount - Closeout

    Q:

Does this really come with a rowing seat like in the photos? Or does it come with the cheaper plastic folding seat? Could I get it with the low back rowing seat?

I currently use a plastic folding seat as my rowing seat and want to upgrade to a good seat and then put that plastic folding seat up on this stern mount in the back of my raft.

      A:

This frame does come with a plastic rowing seat as pictured. And you can swap it for a low-back seat, you'll need to call in to place a custom order. If you are rowing from the stern, you might look at the NRS Stern Raft Frame. The NRS Stern Raft Frame doesn't have a swivel seat which will make rowing easier.

If ordered with no seat, does is stil come with a seat mount and cross bar?

      A:

Yes, you can order it without the seat, but with everything else. If you're adding your own Angler Fishing Seat, the mounting holes will fit. If you're putting on a different seat, the holes may not match. Give us a call to place the order, 800.635.5202.

  • NRS Frame Stern Seat Mount - Closeout

    Q:

I have a 13ft NRS raft with the Fishing Frame. I want to add the Stern Seat and don't know if I should get small or large?
Asked on 2/20/2014 by Theo from Chattanooga, TN

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Theo, you probably have a 60" wide frame, for which we recommend the Large Stern Seat Mount. Check that out before ordering. Also, the Large has 36" long stern side rails. Measure from the center of your rearmost crossbar to the center of the back tube panel. If 36" rails don't work for you, we can do a custom length. Call 800.635.5202 with any questions.
