Comments about Werner Fiji 3 Piece Adjustable Stand Up Paddle:

I bought the Fiji 3-piece paddle so I could have a break-down paddle to take with my inflatable SUP when I travel. It works well for that and is lightweight and well-made. The paddle itself seems a little flimsy, although it has not broken. I wonder how well it will hold up to the baggage pounders at the airlines. Only time will tell. the adjustments are good and it seems of high quality.
Maybe the goal was to make the blade somewhat flimsy so it would flex and not break, like regular blade would/could do. The plastic of the blade does seem to be the type that is pretty flexible but durable. There aren't a lot of choices out there for a break-down paddle so this is what you get.

The longest section of paddle is the lower blade section at 32". Followed by the middle section at 31 1/4" and finally handle section at 21".

        The longest section is 32".
It was the shortest-section travel paddle I could find at the time. But it
is still a bit trick to fit it in any luggage.
I found a cheap rolling duffle and am able to lay the paddle sections
diagonally in the bottom of the bag and then put the board in after

We don't have a photo of the disassembled paddle. The longest piece of the 73" - 80.5" paddle is the center section, 34".

There are pics on the Werner site:
        http://wernerpaddles.com/shop/paddle-board-paddles/stand-up-paddles/Fiji
Welive in Rwanda and were able to get this paddle (and another carbon fiber version) here from the US and from here to Zanzibar and back over New Years. We have flown with the boards in their own bags and then the paddles in a duffle with clothes, and other stuff and also with the paddles wrapped up in the larger board (NRS Baron).

I haven't had time to take a picture yet, but I hope this helps.
I just took this paddle on a trip to Florida, and I understand your
concern. I am still working out the best bag to pack this in. I got the
longest length version of the paddle, and 2 of the 3 sections are 36 inches
long, including the one that has the blade. So it did not completely fit in
the backpack that the board comes in. So I am currently looking for a 36"
rolling duffel bag that I can put the paddle and the board in together for
        my next trip.
But the paddle itself is really pretty good, lighter than some of the
adjustable paddles to I had purchased some time ago.

These Fiji's come in different lengths I have the long and med from 2013. I own 6" Barron and Czar. I have a separate bag for the paddles since I also use a 210 cm kayak paddle some times. The three paddle lengths all got longer for 2014 which is good for me I will probable get another one in the longest 87.5" Length.
Currently the 84.5 length is a-little long to fit in the NRS bags with out poking out a little. You would need to double bag. The shorter paddles should fit but I would still double bag it.
I have plans to strap my SUP to my street bike is why I got the 3 piece.

Aloha Gypsygirl! Yes , I think the Fijii 3pc is a great travel paddle for
it's price. The simple push pin connections fit together quite nicely with
a solid feeling shaft and the blade seems indistructable. I use it with my
C4,9'3"isup and Starboard Astro Whopper and it fits easily in either isup
bag. It isn't a ultra lite race paddle but it does okay for normal use and
to surf with Sorry I didn't include photos but I think there are some video
on You Tube. Happy travels! CraigS.

I don't have a photo of it broken into 3 pieces, but I have wrapped it
        inside this SUP:
        http://naishsurfing.com/mana-air-10-0-wide-and-stable-all-around-cruising/on
several occoasion, put in inside an x-large duffel bag, and take on
flights to the Carribean, Florida, and Hawaii -- works great. The rolled-up
SUP protects the largest piece with a couple inches to spare.
