Werner Neutral Bent Shaft (2:23)

Our Neutral Bent Shaft is designed to alleviate stress and strain on your hands, wrist and forearms when you paddle. This strain is usually caused by a previous injury, over gripping the paddle shaft and can be acute for those who paddle in rough water conditions where five fingers of contact to the shaft must be maintained. The key benefits that are unique to our Neutral Bent Shaft are; natural alignment of the wrist reducing strain and fatigue, stable leverage point during ALL stokes which increases comfort and an advanced grip that fits the natural contour of your hand. The slightly heavier shaft weight, when compared to a straight shaft, is offset by the ergonomic benefits.

Comments about Werner Double Diamond Carbon Paddle - Bent 30 Degree:

The Double Diamond has been my go to freestyle blade for over 8 years. The stiffness of the shaft gives me more torque when I pull on either blade and I always feel like I am always in control of my paddle. The shape of the blade allows me to have the most power when I am using only the bottom half of the paddle, which most do when playboating. In the same aspect, when surfing a big wave, there is enough paddle to always catch the water when you need to.

    Service and delivery comments:

Werner always sends their paddles well packaged and promptly, straight to my front door.

Comments about Werner Double Diamond Carbon Paddle - Bent 30 Degree:

I recently switched paddles and started using a Double Diamond for freestyle. I have better control with this paddle, it allows me to make powerful and quick paddle strokes to stay on top of the foam pile in holes and on waves, and I don't get sore wrists with the bent shaft. I know they are expensive, but well worth the money for a paddle that won't break and paddles as nice as it does.

      • Werner Double Diamond Carbon Paddle - Bent 30 Degree

        Q:

Hi, is the feather adjustable? Also, is it possible to break the paddle into 2 pieces for storage?

        Thank you

          A:

Felipe, the feather is not adjustable, but you can order a custom feather, in 5-degree increments. Werner does offer two-piece straight-shaft options, in either 30 or 45 degree feather. For an adjustable-feather paddle, with a similar blade design, take a look at the Werner Ikelos, Item # 75509.02. Give us a call to discuss custom options, 800.635.5202.
