One of our most popular raft frames, the NRS Bighorn I gives you room to mount a cooler or drybox either in front of or behind the rower.
  • 65" and 68" frame lengths make the Bighorn I an excellent fit on many 12' and 13' rafts.
  • The adjustable and adaptable NRS raft frame system lets you decide where you want to mount your cooler or dry box.
  • The Bighorn I Raft Frame Includes two 9' NRS straps and four strap slides for securing your cooler or dry box to the frame.
  • The heart of the NRS frame system, the LoPro™ Fitting allows complete adjustability for all frame parts. Now made in stronger, lighter hot-forged aluminum alloy.
  • NRS Oar Mounts are lighter, sleeker and stronger than ever with hot-forged aluminum alloy construction and a nylon insert to reduce rowing friction.
  • The NRS frame system makes it easy to add accessories like Side Rail Racks, Casting Platforms, Thigh Bars and Anchor Systems for even more convenience, performance and fun.
  • Use at least four NRS Tie-Down Straps to secure the frame to your boat.
  • Components: Side Rails, Seat Bar with Universal Seat Mount, two Cross Bars, Foot Bar, Low-Back Drain-Hole Seat, 6" Oar Mounts, two 9' NRS Tie-Down Straps, and four Strap Slides.
  • Seat bars now use the Universal Seat Mount for attaching the padded seats. Create your rower's seat bar for the Low-Back Drain-Hole Seat by U-bolting the Universal Seat Mount to one of the cross bars. This allows you to precisely set the location of the seat and the seat angle.
  • Coolers and dry boxes sold separately.

      A:

Renny, you'll need a 54" wide frame. You only have a 44" flat area, so you're going to need custom length side rails. The Longhorn Frame - http://www.nrs.com/product/92010.03/nrs-longhorn-raft-frame - will work fine. If you want a cooler, you'll need to determine if sitting on the cooler (max 30" wide) to row gives you room for your legs. Give us a call to discuss your options, and to order.

      A:

The center-to-center of the side tubes is 50", so you'll want a 54" wide frame. So, the 54" x 68" frame will work for you.

  • NRS Bighorn I Raft Frame

    Q:

I have a 13' Rocky Mountain Raft (2016). Width is 56" on center and flat length is 71". Which NRS frame would you recommend? Do you make a 56"x68" Bighorn frame? Thanks for your help.

      A:

I'd recommend a 60" wide frame. A Bighorn I frame, 60" x 68", would be a good fit. The NRS frame system is very adaptable, so you can always modify it over time.
