My Carlisle oars were just a tad short after I made some adjustments to my frame. These were a quality but inexpensive fix that worked great. Was worth the purchase.

This is an easy way to extend your oar length at the bottom. If you are in doubt that your oars are too short, this is a great option. Also, the extensions were easy to attach and very secure when in use.

These gave addeded leverage especially against the up-canyon winds on the Green River (Utah). Nice to have these.

These will not work with the Carlisle Saber Paddle. These will only work with full-sized oar shafts for rowing rafts, drift boats, etc.

                    A:

The Oar Shaft Extenders simply adds a foot to the Oar Shaft itself. I've
never used a Saber Paddle Blade before. I use the large outfitter blades
because both my rafts are 16' and 18'. The paddle blades that fit on the
oars without the extender fits the oar shaft exactly the same after the
extender is added. It just makes the oar a foot longer. Great product. The
oar is just as strong and it does add a significant amount of weight. It
makes the oar more versatile because you can vary the size at will and it
makes it easier to load the oars in float planes and anywhere where length
can be an issue. You can also swap oars with a smaller boat that doesn't
require as much length. I love my Carlisle oars and adding the extender
makes them much more versatile. Also the Outfitter blades are by far the
toughest blade in the water. I have had mine for more than 20 years and they
                    are still in awesome condition.
Feel free to contact me should you have questions or concerns. I'm always
willing to help a fellow rafter and pay back the effort and advice I
                    received to get started.

Doug, I can't find any specs on Clackacraft oars. The Carlisle Extenders have a 1 5/8" x 6" shank that fits inside the oar shaft. Check out your shafts and give us a call, 800.635.5202.

Nik, they don't make 2' extenders, but you can combine two of the 1' extenders to get your length. They give you a really solid connection.

I've only seen one size/length advertised. You would need to buy two and mate them to get the 2' length you need., if you want to do that. Another possible option, contact Customer Service at NRS and see if they will make an exchange (assume the oars haven't been used).
