Protect the finish on your car, kayak, canoe, refrigerator or other precious cargo with NRS 1.5" Padded Straps. The pad is sewn onto the strap so it is always right where you need it.
  • The 2" x 5" vinyl pad protects your valuable gear from scrapes and dings.
  • The 1.5" wide polypropylene webbing has a tensile strength of 2,000 pounds, so you can lash in your gear with confidence.
  • We also soak the webbing in our proprietary UV protectant for long life in the sunny outdoors.
  • Two center-mounted stainless-steel springs give our heavy-duty buckle a stronger, more secure grip on the webbing.
  • The length of each NRS tie-down strap is woven right into the webbing, so there's never any guesswork when choosing the right size for the job.
  • A waterproof 1" x 3" tag near the buckle gives you a place to write your name and contact info to prove to your buddy that it's your strap, NOT his.
  • Rafters, kayakers, canoeists and other water folks love these burly cargo straps.
  • Yes, they're the gold standard for boaters, but savvy people have found literally hundreds of other uses for them.
  • You'll want these straps for your boating gear bag, car trunk, truck bed, ATV, camper... everywhere.
  • Ask any boater and they'll tell you, "You can never have too many."

Hope this isn't a trick question. I have 9 ' straps they work great for tying on a single kayak. Actual length is 8' 10". Inch and one half with gives a more secure hold. Hope this is helpful.

Comments about NRS 1.5" Padded Straps:

These straps really hold the kayak firmly. Great for highway speeds. The padding around the buckle needs to be improved. Have to be extra careful not to ding your vehicle or scratch your kayak.

Comments about NRS 1.5" Padded Straps:

I feel these are the best non-ratcheting tie down straps out there. These are the only ones I have found in a 1.5 inch width. My canoe is more stable at high speeds when strapped to the top of my car. They could use a little longer padding. I would buy them again and recommend them.

Comments about NRS 1.5" Padded Straps:

These straps are really tough!! I use a pair on each of my kayaks and nothing moves...to be honest I think they're completely overkill but I like that. The buckles seem to be really strong and once the straps are secured they do NOT slip! The only con I've found with these straps is that they are very stiff to work with but I've only used them a few times so they may just loosen up with use.

I own a utility trailer that can hold several boats.
You will not find a better product on the market. These straps are quick and reliable. I have watched too many others attempt to secure their boats with inferior products. I am off and running with the confidence that in even the most severe weather my boats will not need to be re-tied. It comes as no surprise that this product is now being offered at other stores. You will use your boats more often...you will not be disappointed.
