  • NRS Big Basin Water Container

    Q:

Is the top ring collapsible, or does it have to fit into at least a 16" diameter area for storage? I'm assuming as well that it stays up by itself when it's filled?

      A:

The top ring is flexible so you can put it in different sizes of "storage containers" Yes it stays up when filled, I've had other ones without the top ring and they don't stay up on their own very well.

      A:

The top ring is collapsible. It rolls up into a tube and store it in the provided mesh bag.
They do stand up when full.

Comments about NRS Big Basin Water Container:

This is, indeed, a big basin. We haven't used it for washing dishes, but the big diameter would be very helpful. As a carrier for food from boats to kitchen it works great: very large, stable and waterproof. Because it's collapsible it folds down flat to tuck into the gear load during on-water time when we don't need it.

At first I thought this bucket to be to big, but it worked great on the Colorado river, grand canyon trip. Everything from getting food from boats to kitchen to cooling drinks,to keeping misc. things in one place. A great addition to our boating equipment .
