Commonly heard complaints from boaters are "My wetshoes dry slowly" and "My shoes really stink." The problems are related. Neoprene shoes don't "breathe" so moisture escapes slowly unless you work to eliminate it. And bacteria and other microorganisms in the water and from your feet can generate odors in those moist conditions. This video shows how to clean and dry watershoes to head off odor. And if stinky shoes happen, we show how to eliminate it.

I don't know for sure but I would think not. They're good for slick surfaces (got good rough traction) but I've never worn them on polished surfaces so I don't know if the mark or not. Most sail boats I've been on didn't allow black soles regardless of whether they were marking or non-making.

They do run a bit small, but not terribly so. You can probably get by with a 9 if you're going barefoot, but 10 if you ever plan on wearing socks and a drysuit. Worst case scenario you send them back for a different size....

I wear size 13, and ordered size 13 and they fit fine. You may want to go with a size or half size up if you have wide feet, but unless you are planning on wearing socks with these shoes(why anyone would do this, I do not know) I would go with the 9.
I think they are probably designed to be tight. You don't want a lot of room for rubbing in wet shoes.
      Good luck.

I wear size 13 regular shoes, and ordered size 13 of the Kicker Remix. They fit great, and I couldn't be happier with them. Just a guess, but I would probably go with an 8 since you usually get a wide size.
These are great shoes though. They keep out sand and rocks very well, and are good for jumping in and out of the water and over slick rocks.

The shoes are narrow for my wide feet. They run at least a size small. I got the to wear over thick socks and a dry suit bootie. They were long enough but too tight for my usual 10.5 by 4E shoe size.
I finally found. A 14 E made by a Brit company somewhere on the web.
So it all depends on your foot - perhaps trying and sending back if it does not fit is the best option.

I wear size 9 shoes, but have really long middle toes (longer than my big toe). The shape of the kicker shoe is to match a foot where the longest part is the big toe. So I needed to get a size 11 to fit my long middle toes. Even with normal shaped feet I would buy one size bigger on these.

NRS Men's Kicker Remix Wetshoe: These wetshoes are well made to resist walking on rocks and therefore they can sustain heavy beating. Your toes are well protected from injury too. Most of their upper surface is rubberized and the inside is padded adequately making them comfortable to wear. Moreover, I have used them to 'walk' on a creek's bottom without fear to lose them in the deep/thick mud. I can report two problems so far however: (1) When you get out of the water a considerable amount of liquid remains in them since they lack appropriate drainage. I partially solved this problem by making a couple of 3/16" holes on the inner sides near the soles. (2) The straps are probably not necessary for most uses (e.g., kayaking) and they are a bit too long i.e., the Velcro-covered free end gets stuck to everything. The strap could be ¾" to ½" shorter. Overall these wetshoes are stronger than most of those you may find in sporting goods retailers. Please order your size as suggested by NRS.

Comments about NRS Men's Kicker Remix Wetshoe - Closeout:

The shoe size fits my footprint. I have room in my sea kayak that I do not have with boots. They are easy-on and -off. A Velcro strap over the instep and cinch cord around the ankle keep out debris and make them more secure than stretch-y fabric-top shoes. The plastic instep is flexible and protects my feet on gravel and rocks. Its traction is sufficient, but they are not sailboat deck shoes. I can't say if they're durable; I haven't had them long enough. It is the nature of the material that they don't dry overnight, even with the inserts removed. I do not count on them to keep my feet warm; I wear them over dry suit booties, and I wear warm socks inside the booties.
