I have stored my Paco Pads rolled for several years and have never had any issues. They always seems to roll out and inflate for use and my friends borrow them often, which is a credit to their ability to withstand abuse!!!
I would recommend storing them out of the sun since they are made of plastic, which is often adversely affected by ultraviolet sunlight.

      Flat.
The pad is made of expanding material. Transporting it compressed for a
short time is fine. Storing it compressed will keep it that way forever.

I store mine flat. I think a sales guy told me to store it at that way.
Also, each time I roll my Paco Pad up, I flip it and roll the other side. I
      do love my Paco Pad.
      Thanks, Don

This is a great sleeping pad. I use this on multi day river trips. It is very durable. It is made of the same PVC they make their boats from. It stands up to being used on rocks without a drop cloth. It is also thick enough to smooth out almost any bump you might consider sleeping on. All that thickness keeps you warm as well. The foam is a bit on the firm side, but if it was softer you would feel more of the ground. The durability and thickness come at the price of it being heavy and bulky, not for backpacking or a kayak, but no problem at all for a raft, car, RV or even guest room.

The item description needs to include that the Paco and Super Paco utilize firm foam and are rock hard. The El Grande and Super Grande (not listed, call Jack's for info) both utilize softer foam. I've taken it up with Jack's, they are very helpful. Although my Super's are slightly used, we are working out a trade-in deal for an upgrade to El Grande's.

Comments about Super Paco Sleeping Pad:

I use this Paco Pad mostly for car camping, river rafting and lounging in the backyard. It's AWESOME, very comfortable, and extremely durable. It self-inflates nicely. It can get pretty hot in direct sunlight. Rolling it up is slow due to the two small inflation/deflation valves. I would have preferred larger valves that allowed more airflow. Perhaps the design is intentional for other purposes, I don't know, but it's slow to roll up for packing. Really excited to get more use out of this pad!

Comments about Super Paco Sleeping Pad:

I live in a tiny studio where sleeping on the floor is my bed. I had the thermarest type pads that were great until the usual slow leak kicked in after a year. The paco pad is something I should have purchased years ago. I row my raft on multiple day trips in the summer and now I can be sure of a good nights sleep. It may even become a family heirloom :)
