  • Each bag is made from a durable, water resistant material reinforced with rugged nylon webbing.
  • A zippered closure bound on each side with breathable mesh allows easy storage and venting so your boat dries.
  • Four sizes to choose from.
  • Everyone rolls boats up differently. Please measure your boat's L x W x D when it's rolled up to ensure accurate sizing.
  • NOTE: NRS Revolution boats roll up larger and are not consistent with the size recommendations under the 'Sizing' tab.

One of the great things about inflatable rafts, catarafts, kayaks and SUP boards is that when not in use they can be deflated, taking up very little storage space. In this video the NRS Repairs crew gives you the tips and techniques to minimize stress on seams and material while they're being folded and tucked away.

I have a 14ft raft and I store it in a nrs BLUE bag. I also have a 11ft bucksbag pontoon
boat and I put it in a nrs RED bag. I would get one nrs BLUE for the raft and two nrs RED bags for the IK's\
and cat tubes. Hope this helps.

      A:

Aaron, take a look in the Sizing tab for the dimensions of the bags. You'll probably need 2 IK, 1 M and a L. However, those suggested boat sizes were based on our Hypalon boats that roll up very compactly. If you have another makers boats, say in PVC or urethane, they may not be as compact. Safest is to roll your boats and compare the measurements.

It should work fine. To double check measure your folded boat and compare against the bag's dimensions - 26"L x 23"W x 11"D.

The Aire Tributary is 13ft long. I use this for my NRS solo IK that is 10ft, and there is lots of extra room. I put ropes and other gear in the bag too. I also have a Helios two man sea Kayak, that is 13ft, and it fits fine. I would think your Aire Tributary will fit. Its a great bag, and I love the backpack straps. If it doesn't fit, I know that NRS will will work with you on the return, but I doubt you'll need it.

Nancy, the bag weighs 4.7 pounds. Hyside says the boat weighs 47 pounds, so doesn't look like this is an option for you. How about wrapping it in a plastic tarp and securing it with NRS cam straps?

I believe it will. I got the large bag for my 16' self bailing raft and I can almost fit two of them in there. It's huge! I love this bag, it's well made and when I want to use my raft I don't have to open it up first to clean it and kill all the black widows like before. I got a second bag for my other raft and will probably get more for my IKs.
      Good luck!

I do not have experience with your particular boat and the deflated dimensions, but the side dimensions (Length x Width x Height) are true to spec,  I selected the large bag for a 12' cata-raft I have, purposely buying a lil' large to have room for associated gear (life vests, throw bags, cushions, pumps, etc.).  I measured my folded up boat to insure the bag was big enough, and that worked for me...  Good luck

The bag is only for inflatable kayaks, rafts, or cat tubes when they are deflated so the measurement of 36" should not matter.

Comments about NRS Boat Bag for Rafts,IKs and Cats:

I was worried that both of my cat tubes would not fit in one bag, but I'm pleased that they do. I was keeping each tube in a plastic tub, now I don't have to do that and it frees up some storage room. I got a hole in one of my tubes on the way to the MFS this summer because I didn't have a bag to put them in. Not having to patch my boat on day one of a trip is worth the price. I like the material used on the sides. Nice and durable. The clear plastic window to insert your contact info is nice, but I still marked it up with a Sharpie. The only thing I'd change is adding handles on the top instead of on the front. Otherwise it's awkward for one person to handle, especially with both tubes in the bag. This is a worthwhile gear investment.

I can roll up my 12 ft inflatable kayak, the seat, and PFD, all fit comfortably in this bag. It is attractive and easy to store flat. The handles allow it to be carried from the car to the water prior to inflation. It also has mesh sides, so that if the Kayak retains some water, it will dry and not mildew. It isn't cheap, but it is a fair price for the high quality it is made with.
