        Q:

if I am not a fan of the "Y" thigh bar offered in the rear on the Otter 130 fishing package... could the "U" shaped one be a direct fit?

I would choose the thigh hook like you would find on a Driftboat it locks you in so you can wear your waders instead of swim trunks

The U-Shaped Bar can certainly be used there, as long as it doesn't interfere with the rower. In the online photo, with the seat bar where it is and a rear U-Bar angled like the on in the front, the bar would hit the rower. Fortunately the NRS frame system is adjustable and adaptable so changes like that can be made.

Yeah, I have the U-shaped thigh bar.  I bought a raft package with the regular thigh bar that is open on one side but kept getting fly line tangled in it.  Way happier with the U-shaped bar.  I'm pretty sure you could just swap it out but ask NRS first.

The Large is for frames 60" wide or wider, David.

My frame is roughly 67 inches on center and I mounted the 43" thigh bar on the seat riser. It's not too narrow because it has to fit inside of the tubes anyway. For yours I'd go with the large (43"). Specs are at: http://www.nrs.com/frames/Specs.asp#ThighBar
