Quick Guide: G/flex Epoxy Adhesive

G/flex is an excellent boat repair material. It’s a two-part epoxy that adheres to and bonds well on many different materials, including Hypalon®, PVC, most metals, wood, fiberglass and many plastics — even ones that are hard to glue, like polyethylene.

It makes a tough, waterproof repair that is more flexible than other epoxies. Bonds can absorb the stresses of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration without separating.

  • Mixed G/flex 650 has a “heavy syrup” consistency that will run off a vertical surface.
  • It works well in repairs where you want a more liquid material, like when making a repair with fiberglass cloth.
  • The kit comes with 4 oz. each of resin and hardener, mixing applicators, two 12-cc syringes, colloidal silica for thickening, alcohol cleaning pads, disposable gloves and mixing cups.
  • You can also purchase just the 4 oz. bottles of resin and hardener.
