  • Cataract Counterweight Set Screws

What size are these screws? I am getting metal ones, these plastic ones break very easily. Not well constructed at all.

Andy, Cataract says the threads are 1/4-20. Be aware that they use plastic screws to protect the oar shaft.

Comments about Cataract Counterweight Set Screws:

This is not an NRS issue, rather the manufacture of counter weights uses and supplies the plastic set screws. I had to buy more screws due to breakage. They are inexpensive and also cheap. A metal set screw would hold the counter weight to the oar far better than the plastic screws.
