Hydroskin capri pants were great in chilly late February Caribbean ocean. Only issue I have is the way the waistband dips low in front. Perhaps cute on young gals, but I'm a 64 year old grandmother. No one wants to see my junk. So I have to wear a basic one piece tank swim suit under the capri pants, so I have fabric coverage on my abdomen. If I can find some similar fabric, I'll sew a higher waistband on the capri pants. But I shouldn't have to go to that trouble.

Comments about NRS Women's HydroSkin 0.5 Capris - Closeout:

I HAD PREVIOUSLY BOUGHT A SIZE LARGE IN THE HYDROSKIN PANTS AND CAPRIS AND LOVED THEM. SO I BOUGHT THE XL IN THE CAPRIS AND PANTS THINKING THAT THEY SHOULD BE FINE, BUT THEY ARE TOO SMALL NOW. I STILL WEAR THE PREVIOUS LARGE, BUT THE NEW ONES HAD TO GO TO MY DAUGHTER. THE NEW SEAM ACROSS THE MIDDLE MAKES IT VERY AWKWARD FOR FIT. NRS HAD BEEN MY GO TO FOR NEOPRENE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOT ANYMORE. IT IS TOUGH FOR LARGER WOMEN TO GET NEOPRENE TO FIT, AND THE PREVIOUS STYLE DID.

                Q:

What is the rise on these? Are they low rise or do they come up nearer belly button? What is back coverage? Leaning towards these vs the shorts for added warmth although might go either way.

                  Full coverage front and back.
I like the extra warmth also. I ordered the large (145#) so they are not skin tight but comfortable and they keep the water out

My capris fit to the belly button and have good coverage in the back (no sliding down). I have spent hours wearing them in my kayak and also in pool play. They fit and wear well.

I would call these mid rise in the front, and high-rise in the back. I don't quite come up to your belly button in the front, but the back has enough coverage that when you're sitting it had your back against a kayak seat. I have both the capris and shorts, and the shorts are not really that warm; I just like them for coverage under looser shorts when I'm working. The capris at a little bit of warm, and a little bit of bang-against-the-rocks protection.

My pleasure is kayaking. I bought a pair of the Hydroskin capris last November. I found they were too short in the rise for sitting in a kayak (perhaps more suited to stand-up paddling).
The very obliging NRS customer service team helped me choose an alternative with which I am delighted: Season 5, Atmos 1.0 capris.

It's been a while since I've worn them but they should be high enough for
warmth. I think I used to fold over the waist to make it shorter.

                Q:

How long are these? I have very long legs, so I would want to make sure they are long enough to allow me to bend my knees without being too tight. I see you don't make anything in tall sizes, but I can't wear long pants labeled tall because they have too long a rise. I'm short waisted. love it when I can find pants labeled long. I'm hoping since these are Capris they might work.

they are .5 mm thick not 1.5

I am not sure what the inseam is, but I am 5'3", and always get the capris. They come up to about mid-calf, and I have very short legs. I wear them with Hanz Submerge Waterproof Socks, and my whole leg is covered.
