Comments about NRS Bungee Paddle Leash:

I'm not sure what else you'd need out of a paddle leash. I don't like the coiled versions, and this one is long enough not to tug but not so long that it's dangerous. The band fits tightly around the shaft and doesn't budge: that's really important to me. Stays out of your way nicely.

    Service and delivery comments:

0 issues with service/delivery. Really simple, the way it should be.

Comments about NRS Bungee Paddle Leash:

Broke on the first flip in a class 2 drop. Long leash, almost too long. There are other products on the market that are bulkier, but won't shred. I can use the remnants to make a better one, though.

Comments about NRS Bungee Paddle Leash:

I put in 50 training miles with this paddle leash. I took me a while to get used to not having complete mobility of the paddle when entering/exiting the kayak, but that period passed quickly. I used the leash on the 2012 Missouri River 340 endurance race where due to fatigue and exhaustion I did not care how I treated it. Despite this rough handling, 340 miles later it still looks and performs like new. This product performs as stated and arrived in a timely manner. Thumbs up.

          • NRS Bungee Paddle Leash

            Q:

Which end goes around paddle (I assume the blue end, but there are no instructions) and how does the other end attach to the boat -- picture shows a circled attachment but the one I purchased has a 7" long Velcro loop with a padded end on one side with a swivel connecting it to the bungee -- seems like the swivel hook is all one needs to attach to deck cords on a kayak -- what is the rest for?

              Hello,
The other end is for the wrist. You have the option of attaching the paddle to the boat or wrist.
              Have fun and take care.

Bonnie, you're right, the blue end goes around the paddle. The other end can be affixed to your arm or to some area of the boat's rigging.

Bonnie, you are correct that the blue end attaches to the paddle. The other velcro piece with the padding is a wrist strap. I always use the swivel hook and just clip the leash to the d-ring on my pfd.

My assumption is that the blue (small) end goes around your paddle, the other end around your wrist, though you could attach it to your boat.
If you prefer to attach it to your boat, making changes to the attachment is reasonable.

              A:

I have the exact same paddle strap as pictured, i use the blue end on the
paddle and the large velcro loop to attach to my boat.
There are very limited places to attach it on the inside of my kayak so I
usually just wrap that end around the strap that is attached to
the back part of my seat that is just for adjusting it.
              I hope this helps!

The Blue end goes on the paddle, the other end around your wrist. Or you can just unhook the end from the wrist strap and attach it to your kayak :)
