          Q:

You state that if it has cup holders it was made prior to 4/2009, so that is the one I want to get correct? It just seemed strange since you would think they would add cup holders after 2009 to "get with the times". So I'm just double checking before I purchase. Thank you.

            A:

Teri, when we started making the River Tube's there were cup holders built into the tubes. This necessitated having a reinforced hole in the outer fabric and a can-shaped depression welded into the inner bladder. These design features caused problems in some tubes, so we discontinued that construction in 2009. In the switch-over we also changed the valve we were using. So, the best way to tell customers what replacement valve they need is to ask whether or not their tube has a cup holder.

I'm thinking this valve is a 3/4 inch instead of a 1/2 inch. I don't have it in my possession right now or I would measure it. but it surly worked great.
