Comments about Bravo 2 Foot Pump:

I really like this pump. It's my second in about 7 years. It's compact, it fits into the bow storage compartment of my RIB dinghy. It fills the RIB tubes to "firm" very quickly. The only problem is that the really necessary repair parts are not available. If I could have purchased a new spring, valve clips (Bellville-style push-on fasteners), and valve membranes (discs of thin rubber), my original would be quickly restored to good as new. I made an emergency repair by cutting new valve discs from Orca fabric, retaining them with small tie-wraps, and just living with the reduced spring rebound due to the rotted-off coils.

Great pump, but parts support is important!

    Service and delivery comments:

Absolutely superb order fulfillment - ordered it Monday afternoon, selected USPS Priority Mail to Massachusetts, received it Wednesday. Perfect!

It does what it is supposed to do for me. Pumps my Sea Eagle kayak in less that 10 minutes. The hose needs to be made of stronger material, although mine hasn't split or broken as yet..

      • Bravo 2 Foot Pump

        Q:

what is the max pressure? Would it be suitable to fill an Outlaw?
Asked on 4/10/2015 by peter from United States

          A:

Peter, practically the max pressure for the Bravo 2 is 3-4 psi. This is fine for the tubes of an Outlaw raft or IK, but not sufficient for the 8-10 psi for the floor that gives the boats their best performance. You'll probably want to use a combo of pumps, one to put in the main volume and another for the higher pressure and top off.

        Q:

Is this pump capable of inflating and/or topping off a 16' raft as the primary pump on a whitewater raft trip? If not, is there a foot pump made that will suffice?

Should be no problem. I used mine to pump a 13 ft transom hypalon boat. Worked great!

Rico, you could fully inflate a 16' raft with the pump, but it'll take quite a while and you'll get tired of tramping up and down. It will make a good top-off and take-along pump. It's the only foot pump we carry.

          A:

I use this pump as a primary pump for a 13 foot 2-person ducky. It takes a
while, but it gets the job done. I imagine that a 16 foot raft has over
twice the air volume of my ducky, so unless you have a team of people with
strong legs and 30+ minutes to kill, I'd advise buying an electrical pump
for primary inflation, and keep something like this in the boat for
          top-offs.

The pump works well for my 14 foot Momentum. I use it both for blowing up and topping off. The foot pump is easier and more compact than a barrel style.

This is not a high pressure pump and is not recommended for that kind of use.
