Replacement O-Ring for the 4" or 6" older model Carlson Hand Pumps. Carlson used the Rubber O-Rings pre 2004. If your pump has a green hose, it is an older model and should utilize the Rubber O-Rings.

Comments about Carlson Pump Rubber O-ring:

I bought this O-ring to rejuvenate a non-functional barrel pump --- an essential part of my rafting gear. Instead of having to buy a new pump for $$$ I took off the top of the pump (one screw), retrieved the broken O-ring, and slipped on the new one. I replaced the screw holding the top and, voila, a fully functional pump. Love it! Based on my experience you'll only need to do this every 10 years or so because Carlson products are extraordinarily well built.

Comments about Carlson Pump Rubber O-ring:

Don't forget to lubricate your pump well when you replace the O-ring or it won't work correctly.

          A:

Pull up on the pump handle until it comes off. There is a round plate
there with an rubber o-ring around it. Put grease (waterproof grease
recommended) around the top of the pump tube, and some on the ring itself.
Carefully place the o-ring evenly around the plate, try the pump slowly,
and if it works it works. If not, the o-ring has slid off and you have to
place it on again. Having it slide off is not unusual and it will take
several attempts. Well, if you're me, more than several. Not sure if that
          answers your question.

David, use blue marine lithium grease. If you can't find that, use the white lithium grease.

I use the same grease as I use for my trailer bearings. Clean it out
inside, then rub some grease around.
