Comments about NRS Mechanical Pressure Gauge:

This gauge worked like a charm for me. It might need adjustment to first seal, then open the valve for reading. It isn't very robust. So, if that's what you want, pay twice as much for a heavier duty gauge. Or wrap it with some foam. I marked the target pressure with a sharpie because the numbers are kinda small and my eyes aren't as good as they once were.

          Q:

Will this gauge screw on to a NRS SUPER PUMP?

            A:

Yes, Justin, this gauge is a replacement for the gauge on the Super Pump. Just remove the plastic tip and screw it into the pump.

So will this guage read pressure in a leafield c7 valve without needing any extra adapters or anything?

Please pardon the extreme tardiness of my response, which is, yes, the
gauge will read C7 pressure WITHOUT needed anything extra. It fits
perfectly into the valve. I think it's a decent value!

It comes with the adapter attached. I did not care for the gauge as the
dial was too small for my under 5PSI needs. I found a low pressure air
gauge on Ebay and used the NRS adapter on it.

I just received a Wonder Pump 6 from L.L.Bean. The pump instructions show
that a pressure gauge may be placed in the threaded hole in the pump handle. What pressure gauge listed on your web site would you recommend be used?

We have used the mechanical gauge with good effects. I would recommend
it. Be advised that the pontoons need to be pretty tight before the gauge
registers any psi, but it is accurate once it starts to read over 1psi.

How do you install the pressure gauge into the NRS super pump?

            A:

My first suggestion would be to contact NRS to see if they can help.
Not knowing their pump, I would look at the threading on the gauge vs the
thread on the pump to see if it's compatible. If not, I would take both to
the hardware to look for an adapter or use a threading tool to install the
            gauge.
            I hope this helps.

This gauge just goes in the valve on the boat. You just press it in the valve and hold it there to take the reading. As far as I know it does not install into another pump. The wonder pump comes with an inline pressure gauge that attaches to the handle of pump then the hose attaches to that. I don't have the super pump so I am not positive. I have the wonder pump and also this mechanical gauge. The wonder pump falls apart easily. It is a great idea but needs a more solid connection from the lid to the canister.

Mary, this gauge comes with the Super Pump for use as a separate unit. There isn't a port for installing the gauge as part of the pump.

The part that goes in the valve is sized for Leafield and military valves. I'd recommend the K-Pump Kwik Check, Item # 17221, for your HR valves.
