Comments about IR Reggie Kayak Backband:

The attachment points on my old back rest had rusted through, so I got this to replace it. Easy enough to replace the back rest.
The only problem is my own fault: the attachment points were so thoroughly rusted that I had to pull out the whole seat, tear out the straps, make new ones, and attach the back rest to that. At least now I know where all the metal points are in my boat, and will be much more careful rinsing it out if I ever play in salt water again.

      Service and delivery comments:

I didn't buy this product from NRS as international shipping = the price of the item itself. I bought the item from an Australian distributor instead, but somehow got the product review email from NRS.

Comments about IR Reggie Kayak Backband:

I have been using recreational kayaks for several years in running rivers up to class III. I also frequently paddle lakes for training and exercise. After two surgeries to fuse lumbar discs I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to kayak again. I bought the IR Reggie backband in hopes that it would give me the support That the original seatback lacked. The result is amazing! Although I haven't used it on the water yet, I am amazed at the added support it gives to my ailing spine. The installation was simple after viewing the Youtube videos (not included but easily searchable). I am now looking forward to getting back on the water and off my recliner.

                    Skip,
I'm guessing the Reggie Backband will work for you...especially if you're good at modifying equipment to fit your needs. It's a well made backband and can be disassembled and reassembled in a number of ways. Mine is in a Reaction surf kayak that I had made to order, but came with no backband. I did the cut and paste procedure and got it to work nicely after a couple of tweeks.

I am not familiar with your kayak, but I can tell you that the Reggie has three different ways to attach to most models. I used them to outfit my two recreational boats with little difficulty. Look up the video on YouTube before purchasing.

I would say that it should work. The backband has several mounting options so it should work - especially if you can bet to the back side of the mounting area for attachment. I put mine into a SurfSki which has less space for the backband than most sea kayaks/

                    Michelle,
I am no expert on boat outfitting (actually quite the opposite). I bought
this for my Piranha I3 223 (my first boat) which I believe they quit making
in 2004. I only needed a backband because everything else in my boat was in
pretty good shape. This worked for me and I am still using that boat with
that backband in it 2-4 times a month on class 1-3 creeks and rivers. It
comes with a few different attachment options which I didn't need/didn't
know how to use. I believe this product is designed to be pretty versatile
and fit a variety of boats. I don't know what it costs now but back when I
was looking at it it was in my, "I don't know if this will work or not but
at this price I'll give it a shot" range. I hope this helps some. Good luck.

This backband provides several different ways to mount it. I assume your Dagger has slots in the seat posts to mount the backband. If not you can attach it to the bolts that hold the seat on. I used this on my rec kayak to replace a seat back. It works great.

Probably will work. They have an installation video available that is pretty good. Probably easy to find on the IR website. I have an older Dagger RPM and it works great. I just use the ratchet straps and don't bother with the extra stabilization bungees or the loop straps. The loop straps are good for hooking up to dry bags

I am using it in a Valley Pintail. I have the same attachment points. I'm
having issues with the two pressure points where the buckles are attached
to the back band. I don't think I could stand it for a long time. I've
done some 6+ hour crossings and I'm sure this wouldn't work.
                    Hope this helps.

I googled the ndk explorer and it looks like you might have a ratcheting
system attached to the backband. The IR Reggie has a ratcheting system
attached to it so it may work for you. It seems like the IR Reggie backband
is a pretty versatile backband. I believe it is made to be able to attach
                    to many different boats.

I used the IR back band on my Epic 18x which is very similar to your boat.
                    It is very nice.
You may have to add another anchor point to make it work really good.

I just installed a reggie back back on my Epic 18x sea kayak.
It is really nice.  It is super easy to adjust with the ratchet "things" on the back of it.
I have a dagger rpm 7.8 ww boat. I am sure you could put the reggie back band on this boat, and it would be a nice upgrade.
I guess the reggie back band would work on your 2Fun boat, just because the back band is very adaptable, and I can not imagine it not working.
Though the Jackson back bands are a little odd.  But still it should be fine and good.
                    Good luck.
