  • Easily deployable one hand flip-open blade for when you feel the need. The need for speed.
  • Knife has a blunt tip and both smooth and serrated blade sections. The blade locks open for safety and the handle has a blunt glass-breaking tip ensuring you'll be able to get yourself out of any danger zone.
  • Removable spring steel clip is always ready for action when secured to a belt or lash tab.

For me this knife is nearly perfect. I'm an avid kayaker with 35 plus years of experience and a lifetime collector of knives. I have two "wingmans" and a "green" knife as well and plan on getting a "co-pilot" from NRS for next season. The wingman opens easily with one hand, is comfortable to grip and is designed very well. Yes it's made in china...but that doesn't automatically mean its low in quality, does it? The blade is easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. It swings out smoothly and is properly centered when closed and rock solid when open. I do a lot of scavenging for lost fishing stuff along shorelines and use these knives quite frequently to cut fishing line tangled in trees and brush as well as any other chore that kayaking demands. The strong clip attaches well to my life jackets and I like the compact size of a folding knife so there's less of a chance of the knife snagging on something while doing a re-entry after a capsize. For the price and quality of what you are getting, you'd be hard pressed to find a better knife! Completely satisfied and NRS is a great company to deal with! See you on the water:)

This is a terrible knife...even for the price. The plastic can be scratched with a fingernail and the rubber practically falls off. Had the knife for a week and hardly used it (mainly just carried it in a pocket, and it loooks like it has 10 years of use. The clip broke off (screws were already loose) when just barely catching on a seat cover when getting in my car. Highly dissapointed in this one.

      Comments about NRS Wingman Knife:

I was shopping for a knife to take kayaking and boating. After looking around at the various knives available both locally and online I settled on the Wingman. I bought it as a birthday gift to myself from my local NRS retailer. I think it achieves a nice balance between size and practicality. One handed operation is smooth and hints at a much higher price point. For the price you'd be hard pressed to find a better knife for boating, kayaking and even everyday use. I'll be keeping it handy.

          Comments about NRS Wingman Knife:

I bought this knife to replace an NRS Pilot knife I had to send back due to an unusual defect. I took it with on a few boating trips on the river & was very happy with the size & ease of opening with one hand. It has a window punch on the bottom, which is nice. The most important function of the knife is the bottle opener which contributed to it's loss. Last weekend I "left it all out on the golf course," as they say. The next lucky user of golf cart #43 is now the proud owner of this beauty. Headed to Leavenworth Mountain Sports now to pick up another.

I use this knife everyday on the farm and keep on in my lifejacket pocket on the river. It's a great goto knife. Clip is a little light and I actually prefer it without.
